We was on our way to view the car we inquired about 5 days ago. We were the first people to phone up and was told it would be held for us. We drove over an hour to come and see it, we were 30 minutes away from the dealership. We dealt with OSCAR. Do not buy a car from this dealership they are not true to there word. A complete waste of time. I will be writing to the complaints department about getting refunded on fuel. Do not ever use this garage for your car.Total disrespectful.I am going to contact main Volvo UK to inform them about this situation.This is terrible for a MAIN VOLVO DEALER

Equally great service over the years from the sales department. Lilly was an absolute star with our last car purchases, Went above and beyond. And what a great new showroom! Love the coffee!

We bought our family car from the Volvo leatherhead. How every found their customer service for after sale is absolutely bad point. Call few time for car information and car check up. The receptionist took my name and phone number said someone will call back but never received any call both time. Recommend Volvo Maidenhead where they have the automatic system for call back then got call back in 15 mins and got an appointment straightaway. Much better customer service.

Visited to test drive a second hand car. Smoothly arranged and made time for us to really try the car out. Unfortunately when we sat down to talk business their trade in offer was beyond derisory, a full £700 less than “we buy any car”. Lost all credibility at that point and we left. A premium brand employing back street tactics. Best avoided or make sure you know the true value of your car.

Update: We have now received the refund and an apology, and most importantly the guy we spoke to promised to look into their procedures, so that the clients do not get treated this way in the future. Perhaps it was just the lady that I spoke to that could not care less. He seemed much more understanding and apologetic. I have changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars, as at least we did not have to chase the refund and they now communicated with their partners and ensured that we are correctly set up on the system. I still think that holding our property hostage until we paid double was not an acceptable behaviour and it should have never come to it. Especially when they had weeks to check their paperwork. But at least they are putting steps in place to prevent it from happening in the future. Hopefully a simple procedural tweak will get this sorted.Original experience:Terrible experience. Do not book unless you are prepared to pay twice and then waste your time chasing refund.We booked car service for today, and specified that this was on the service plan a few weeks ago. They were supposed to call us to let us know they were on their way this morning, however they did not. They just showed up. I guess it was lucky that I was at home and not out with the dog at the time.The chaos did not end there. They called me in the afternoon to let me know that the car was ready and asked me to pay almost half a grant for the service that we already paid for. After back and forth with my husband, they finally figured out that their partners who we purchased the lease from did not enter the details correctly on the system. Even though they now knew that we have already paid for the service, they refused to sort it out with their partners. Instead they basically told us they would hold the car hostage until we pay AGAIN. I found this extremely stressful as I need the car for work tomorrow. It was a terrible experience overall. They chose to make our life stressful, instead of checking that the paperwork is correct at the time of booking, or sorting it out with their colleagues. They literally had weeks to get their ducks in the row, but apparently they preferred to leave it to last minute and then threaten to keep the car until we paid again. Even though they knew it was not our fault.Luckily after I paid the ransom the hostage was returned and it seems to be working fine. Although I am not sure why they claimed they washed it. They did such a poor job of it that they should have better kept this to themselves.

Just purchased a second hand Volvo and as usual the service was excellant. We were made to feel at home and Car servicenothing was any trouble. Just turned up one day without any appointment but this was no trouble to them. Arranged a test drive immediately and with the good price offered for my old Volvo we purchased the car there and then.WE picked the car up a week later and everything was in order and the gentleman assigned to us went out of his way to explain all the controls. Nothing was any trouble.Always have my car serviced there and have never had any problems. Excellant service and would not go to another dealer.

A main dealer taking advantage of its position. An hourly rate of £174 an hour for a car mechanic seems excessive. Volvo and its dealers are clearly not interested in long term Volvo owners. As a 40 year Volvo owner, I now feel Volvo and its main dealers are more interested in extracting money from their customers than providing customer value.

Recently bought a used XC40 and our first ever Volvo and we're very happy with the service we received from Lilly. Everything was explained in detail regarding the purchase and payment options and we had the opportunity to test drive a couple of cars before pulling the trigger on the one we bought. We traded in our old car which was very straightforward and picking up the new one was easy and everything had been sorted before I arrived. Thank you!
