Went here for a show. Lovely church with amazing booth-style seating.Some quite restricted views in places - obviously not as much of an issue if there for the godly side of things. Balcony seating the way to go if at a show I think....

St Mary the Virgin
I haven't been inside the church but from the outside it's an attractive classical building (built 1790, replacing a much older church that once stood a short distance away). The graveyard is quite large and I had a nice walk around, accompanied by the sounds of cricket being played on an adjacent ground. Well worth a visit in combination with either the nearby Wanstead Park or the section of Epping Forest which is also within easy walking distance.

Lovely Grade I listed church in Wanstead, London. Visited Church and Crypt as part of the Wanstead Fringe 2023. Lots of lovely features and history.

St Mary the Virgin
St Mary's boasts a friendly congregation who welcome families, young and old. Turn up early for a chat, coffee, cake and biscuits, followed by a spiritually uplifting service. A strong community feel. Strongly recommended for your weekly worship or your first visit to church. 11 for coffee, 11.15 for the service.
