Norwich Guildhall
The guildhall is in the centre of Norwich City. Once was magistrate Court along with prison cells. There is also Norwich Market. Very popular with visitors.

was invited to a tour here by one of my friends, the guide was very informative and interesting to say the least. truly outstanding service in the cafe part afterwards, made to feel at home, also a good selection of cakes. easily gets 5 stars from chunk.

We visited Norwich Guildhall during the Heritage Open Days in Sept 2022 and we found the whole experience so interesting. John, our guide, was so knowledgeable and took his time for people in our group, to thoroughly understand the History. Showing us the dark Prisoner holding cells with the graffiti on the walls, really brings their gloomy existence in that time, to life. We came out of the Guildhall with so much information, of a building that I’ve grown up seeing regularly most of my life and didn’t know the full history of till John told us.

The cafe here is well run and a nice setting to have a drink and chat. The jacket potato meal I had was nice but the quality of the food is not the highest. For an informal lunch it is well priced.

The Guild Hall Norwich. Built between 1407 and 1414 grade 1 listed building made from flint, up close looking at the building makes you wonder how they managed to build this way so long ago.The inside is amazing with it's old wooden features. So much history well worth a Google and read about it.More pictures to follow.

We just popped in to have a look but ended up staying for a slap up meal and experiencing the best service you could imagine! Good food reasonably priced, historic and tastefully converted interior. But the best part of the evening were the staff, warm, charming, hospitable and great fun. We were recommended to go to Cafe Britannia for breakfast, run by the same team, we did and that too was exceptional. Thanks Geoff you made our weekend!
