John Barber Pruning

A couple of years ago they did a great job cutting down a large eucalyptus in the back garden, I finally asked them back to grind down the stump.The guys were here bight and early, cracked on with the job, great communication, friendly attitude, made sure I was happy with how much they'd removed (a lot), and tidied up not only my garden but also where they had sprayed chips in my neighbours garden.Will definitely be using them again for further work.

Good communication around arranging quote and booking in the job. An employee was sick on the day, but they kept me informed about rearranged timings. All staff courteous and efficient, checked my requirements and gave helpful advice when requested. Did a great job and left the garden immaculate afterwards. Would highly recommend. Were quite busy so took a while to get booked in, but worth the wait!

No problems called for quote, Paul arrived at arranged time, quote accepted, telephone call to say when work would commence which it did on time. Work completed and garden left in a tidy state. No complaints two lads worked hard on a very hot day. Would recommend.

I had a very large tree that needed cutting down. John Barber Pruning did a very good job, in a timely manner and cleared away all of the mess. The guys who performed the work were courteous and efficient. I would recommend them and would certainly use them again.

I can thoroughly recommend this company. We have recently used them to clear gutters and to remove two trees (one quite large) and dig out a stump. From the first telephone call to the final handshake after the job had been completed, they were a pleasure to deal with. Telephone contact was polite and efficient; Paul came to assess the job and provide a quote on the day stated; when the day for the tree work had to be changed through circumstances beyond their control, they were prompt and courteous in making new arrangements; and the operatives were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and efficient. Oh... and their prices were very reasonable. In all, a very good experience. I have already recommended them to a friend and would certainly used them again.

We recently had John Barber to trim down our Oak Tree in the garden.We were very impressed with the young men that came to the house.They did an excellent job, very tidy about their work, well organised and considerate. The hot drinks and biscuits were received with thanks, helped them along on a cold day. Booked in advance for an appointment for my week off work. Person on the phone very efficient and pleasant . That’s the end of my positive experience. Got a message on the day to say not able to come as something had come up. Called the office to be told that the person was on another job but they would book me in again tomorrow! Acted like they were doing me a favour and that my work was to be done at their convenience not mine . Politely refused and told them my reasons . They seemed puzzled . Tip - don’t use them - if they get a better job then you must get get bumped

Paul was really helpful when he came out to give me a quote. He made recommendations which were sensible and explained the best time of the year to prune certain trees. The workman were very friendly and approachable. They undertook the work in a professional manner, leaving the garden neat and tidy. I have already got my next job booked in with them. I would recommend them for all jobs large or small.

Had pruned our flowering cherry this week and I have to say fantastic service from start to finish. Came out straight away to quote the job , explained that it needed to be carried out in the summer. The two guys that carried out the work were excellent, and genuinely cleaned up so well you would hardly know they had been. First class will use again
