National Tyres and Autocare - a Halfords company

My mother-in-law took her car to get a new battery and brakes fitted, no faults was in the car before we took the car into the garage, we then picked the car up with the mechanic saying we have changed what you asked but it now has faults since we changed the parts but we can't fix them because it is a electrical fault!! What a joke you make a problem so fix it, it has cost us £250 now to fix the faults that you have made.

Would never go here again. First time using this place through halfords premium membership took out this year. Took my car in for MOT to be told the process had to be abandoned due to leaking break fluid on my calliper. I was told I was looking at £300 for repair from themselves. I rang my usually trusted garage (a family friend) who Ive always used for repairs, services and MOTs (like I say only went elsewhere as there is a free MOT through Halfords membership taken out this year), they quoted me half the price for the service needed. Took it through to my usual garage he checked the car over and there was nothing wrong at all with my calliper expect it was excessively covered in some type of greasy substance. I decided to just keep the car in and get my usually MOT with them and it’s sailed through no problems at all. Blows my mind how this garage couldn’t do my free MOT because of a leaking break calliper and tried to charge me £300 when I’ve got a second opinion and there’s nothing wrong with my break calliper at all. If I was a clueless girl I would of gone ahead with the repair and been £300 down for something that didn’t even need fixing. Stay well away from this place as they tried to pull the wool over my eyes. Also I understand that with an mot there mustn’t be nothing hanging from the internal Mirror. Instead of just using the elastic of my airfreshner to take it off, and undoing the little bow on my grandfather memorial wings and just looping my rosary beads off the internal mirror they have literally just ripped them off and broken my memorial wings and rosarys which I am now having to buy new due to them not just taking them off which was so simple. Stay away!!

I had a puncture while out working. RAC were called out and they told me to call the nearest garage, so I did. Very helpful, he gave me an instant quote and fitted the tyre that afternoon and I was only ten minutes late for the school run. Im so grateful for their efficient hard working professional service. Highly recommend.

phoned up ,wanting a price for 4 new tyres ,said they couldn't give me one ,and told me to look on their online website,why ?

Useless! Not even an apology! My mini's handbrake cable broke so my Husband called to arrange an appointment to get it fixed. I had to go away so I borrowed his car. My husband dropped the car off, spoke to the Manager, to confirm the brake cable needed repairing and wondered around the shops until the car was fixed a couple of hours later. My Husband asked how much the repair was Nothing at all". "Nothing at all? What do you mean?" "A brake inspection is free!" he was told! "I'm here because the brake cable needs replacing!" said my husband! "I was told it's just a brake inspection!"No apology

Appalling service. Arrived at 11 for my pre-booked appointment. Then told we cannot do it because we are a technician down". They must have known this prior to my arrival and should have had the courtesy to let me know. I arranged to be off work and drove all the way there to be let down. A simple phone call or text message to let me know would have been professional."
