Old House at Home
Went for a wake. The food was dreadful, cheap, and very, very basic.Of course that might be dependent on what the family asked for or were prepared to pay for a buffet so probably a bit unfair but I'm just telling it as I saw it.

Me and my husband and roast beef dinner and our daughters had 2 ultimate southern fried chicken burgers , since the welsh gentleman has taken over management the food and service has improved 100% and would highly recommend the pub for a meal !!

Popped in for a refreshment as hadn't been here for a while and at about 1pm the place was dead and staff none existent. If I'm honest the place could do with a lick of paint and tidying of seats as dirty in places and seating areas ripped. Would I recommend? I'm not sure yet this place is in a prime location and will do great under the right management. If I'm honest I wouldn't eat eat there as it just don't seem clean enough or enough staff to sort things.

Well frankly that was the worst Sunday dinner ever ...where do I start ? The beef was sandwich meat microwaved..smash (powdered) potatoes. Frozen stuffing .aunt Bessie roast spuds .Yorkshire pudding was very similar to cardboard....my wife had mixed grill ...well let's just say my dog had a fiest when I got home ...because she loves burnt frazzled food.... avoid this nightmare Sunday venue at all costs

Last week, we came in for a meal, for the first time in years. Was really pleased we did. The gammon/sweet potato fries and the fish and chips were delicious!, So, we returned again today. (Here still). I had the gammon, for a 2nd time, and hubby had the hunters chicken. Lovely! About to order dessert. Will definitely return!

Visited for a Lunch catch up with a Friend and it was lovely, esp as it's literally only a couple of minutes from my home. Friendly, quick service and delicious food (I had the Hunters Chicken Baguette and Chips). Will definitely visit again.
