Sarah supported me at a time when we were facing huge challenges as a family. She was empathic and nurturing in a way that was both empowering and deeply connecting to what I was really needing at that time. The challenges in the family have evolved and the support Sarah gave me at the time has remained pivotal in underpinning my personal growth and learning as a family. Thank you Sarah.

I had the good fortune to attend some online practice groups with Escape Your Chains. I found it extremely helpful in understanding and putting into practice NVC. I had no idea NVC had such depths and riches! The facilitator was very thorough and prepared, with clear information and well designed exercises, and consistently demonstrated what she taught with much care and compassion. If only we could all have this level of compassionate understanding in all our relationships, - What a different world this would be!

I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah, she saw us through the darkest of times. With her calm support and insight she held the space for us to truly see and hear one another safely, defences down. The tools that she helped us develop have changed the way we navigate challenges in the most positive way. Huge recommend

Sarah facilitated listening and sharing sessions for our co-housing group allowing us to explore difficult issues and situations. It was very useful in bringing us closer as a group and helping our understanding and acceptance of each other’s differences.

Sarah has an incredible gift at seeing what's *really* going on in a relational dynamic, facilitating awareness, compassion and understanding. She holds such a strong space for equanimity, for seeing the needs underneath the behaviour, for not making anybody wrong. In doing so, I have felt incredibly seen, heard, understood and celebrated... no need for me to be any different from who I am, no need for anybody else to be any different from who they are. & that is the magic of NVC in the way she teaches it - finding that sweet spot between 2 (or more) people where there is space for both experiences, where everybody matters. It's funny, I know there is a part of that went in seeking validation for how terrible my ex was lol... wanting to be empathised with for how I'd put up with his behaviour for so long... so much of me was clinging onto blame, to him being 'wrong' and me being 'right'. I went in wanting confirmation that he indeed obviously didn't care about me but that my feelings matter nevertheless...What I experienced instead was something very different... I experienced having my eyes and my heart opened to a new possibility - that the breakdown in relationship didn't come from any deficit or shortcoming in either one of us, but rather from some quite deep miscommunications and misunderstandings about what was going on for each of us and both of us trying desperately to get our needs met without really having the capacity to either express ourselves in a way that we could be heard or to listen in a way that allowed for understanding and compassion. It opened me up to seeing the innocence behind both of our intentions, actions and words. It allowed me to feel compassion - for myself and for my ex, which in our enabled us to move through the ending of our relationship with more peace than we would have otherwise done. It's been a real gift to not carry the resentment forwards into the next relationship, through the understanding I gained at the sessions with EYC.There were so many tools that I learnt at the Integration/Practice Group... so many nuggets of wisdom, so many gems of mindset shifts and practical ways of approaching situations, expressing myself and hearing others that have allowed for so much more harmony, ease and connection in my relationships.I love the way Sarah blends empathy with very real and concrete tools that can be applied to all sorts of situations.NVC really is a tool for life and I feel more connected with myself and those around me because of it.I highly recommend Sarah's workshops and groups, and I imagine working with her 1:1 would be a dream.

I have attended Sarah’s practice group for many years where I experienced deep empathy, I learnt lots of transferable skills and felt so much more resourced in the weeks in between meet ups.We also employed her to give our 16 year old some 1:1 support during a difficult time and that was invaluable. It was like having the most wonderful auntie for our daughter to really listen to her and really get her, which feels unfortunately a rare experience for many teenagers, who can then get very isolated in their feelings. My husband and I have also had mediation with Sarah. The experience (4 sessions) has had a long lasting effect on our deeper understanding and care for each other.I can’t recommend her enough!
