Kwik Fit - Tynemouth

My elderly mother lives close to Kwik Fit Tynemouth and has taken over responsibility for the car since my father died unexpectedly a year ago. The staff have been great, servicing it and making her feel safe in working with them

The lads were lovely and so helpful would definitely recommend Kwik fit.

I had my MOT test done few days ago which I failed because on one side of the car tie rod end was damaged and needed to be replaced. At the same time I asked how much will be to replace that part and one of employee told me that he couldn’t tell me that day because he needed to contact their supplier and he booked new appointment for three days later and then he will know the cost of the repair. Then I came there days later and another employee told me the cost straight away in which was included their labour, part, four wheel alignment and MOT retest. When I asked him that MOT retest should be free he told me if I did retest within 24 hours that should be free, that’s means that first employee did his thing on the purpose that they can charge me for retest.For wheel alignment I didn’t get any reports of any measurements before or after alignment test done which I should receive and there is questions mark did they do that or not. When I came back home I looked under the car there were not any marks or scratches on tie rod end or toes from any kind of tools that should be used for that job.I am not happy with this service centre and this is my first and last time to visit them.

Called into the Tynemouth repair shop today looking for help with a minor problem. It was sorted straight away and the very pleasant/helpful member of staff explained how to rectify the problem if it crops up again. Thank you

Have to say a big thank you to Ryan who managed to sort my tyre out today, ready for us to go on holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I left my car with them to fit it in whenever they could and got a phonecall later in the afternoon to say it was ready. Thank you again and hope you enjoyed your bottle of wine.

Excellent information and service provided for selection and fitting of four new tyres for a Jaguar f-pace and also brakes and disks.

The battery you fitted under the bonnet is the wrong one and when I reported this your manager claimed it was my fault because I specified the wrong battery despite the fact that I specifically said I needed the battery in the boot replaced. I checked my manual and informed your manager that he was wrong and he asked me to attend the centre when the fitter was at work (this evening). However when I attended the manager was not there and the fitter stated that he could not rectify the problem without the manager being in attendance. I therefore need to return again on Saturday when both are supposed to be working. I have NO confidence that they will sort this out and if that happens I will be seeking legal advice. The.battery that was replaced was only 18 months old and was working perfectly well so it is obvious the centre did not check either battery’s health

The work was carried out quickly and professionally and within the price quoted. Used Kwik Fit several weeks ago for a job and I was more than happy to use them again this time for some further work.

Took almost 3 hours to tell me they couldn't do a job. When an other garage sorted the issue in 15mins.Staff are friendly, just general kwik-fit mentality is a let down
