Sumi Restaurant
We recently dined at Sumi for the first time during the dinner hours. The ambiance was bustling and lively, although we couldn't help but appreciate the tasteful decor. The menu was certainly enticing, boasting a diverse selection of sushi dishes at what seemed to be very reasonable prices. However, once our orders arrived, we were disappointed by the relatively small portions, which made the overall experience seem a bit expensive.Despite this setback, the flavors of the dishes were delightful, and their presentation was spot-on. Regrettably, the service left much to be desired. Our waiter didn't even introduce the dishes when serving them, which we found to be somewhat impolite and unexpected for an establishment of this caliber. To be candid, there are numerous other dining options in London that offer superior quality and service at a similar price point. As things stand, I don't foresee us returning to Sumi in the future.

Amazing food, super quality. The agedashi tofu was superb, otoro and chu toro were amazing. It is certainly expensive but the quality of vegetables and fish make it worth it.The team were super friendly and nice but we were sitting near the back of the resto so it was quite noisy - pots and pans clanking. But we’re going back again - next week!

Sumi Restaurant
After spending some time trying to find a very good sushi/Japanese restaurant in London that is easy to book and not overpriced, I have to say that Sumi fits the bill perfectly. In my experience this restaurant is underrated on Google maps as I did not find any issue with the food, service or price, contrarily to some of the other reviewers here. We tried 13 dishes in total (1 chutoro, 6 different temaki, 1 tofu, the otoro, the yellow tail 2 different nigiri and the beef gohan) and 2 drinks, and except for the lychee martini I can recommend everything. It is not Endo, but it is less than half the price and easy to book, while also being definitely above your average restaurant in London and even better than some other Michelin-starred places with a similar positioning, at a more affordable price. I honestly thought the bill would be higher (£216 for 2 people all included) or that I would find a “catch”, a bad surprise that would explain the low reviews, but it turned out to be just what I was looking for. I did not find the portions particularly small either and found it overall good value for money (it’s obviously not cheap but it is worth it), but I’d also personally avoid going to a very good sushi restaurant if I’m extremely hungry? The location, setting and overall atmosphere is nice too with outdoor seating available.

We ordered a lot of nigiri and all of them were very good. I really liked their rice - bit harder than normal sushi restaurants in London. The server was so attentive and helpful. We realised that we paid for 2(4p) Uni nigiri although we received one(2p).

Lovely restaurant with minimalist Japanese design. Food was delicious, and a good choice available. Loved the temaki range (hand rolls/tacos)! A great choice for a special occasion!

Had a birthday dinner here. It was really lovely. Cocktails were amazing, wasabi cocktail was incredible. Food was delicious. The mushroom gohan was a good size and deep flavours. Staff were friendly and attentive.Thank you to the waitress last night who made the evening great!

As the sister restaurant of Endo, I came here with high expectations.I have to say this fish is some of the best I’ve had outside of Japan. On the expensive side, but to be expected for the quality. The temaki concept was interesting (slightly tricky to eat, but delicious). I would recommend the tuna, which was especially fresh, and scallop. Next time would also try the Gohan, which the table next to us ordered, and looked amazing. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. Service was also attentive.

Indulged in some of the finest sushi (and I've sampled quite a variety!). While it may be on the expensive side, the quality justifies the cost. The ambiance is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. My only slight quibble is that I would prefer the server not to be right behind me, but I understand it's the standard in this kind of establishment. I'll certainly be making a return visit.

Sumi is possibly my favorite restaurant in the world. It is situated on Tofo Beach, Mozambique. The food is incredible. The decor is unique and beautiful. The owner, Nobina, is always on hand, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and fun. Good to book in advance, but you won't regret eating there.
