DISAPPOINTING STAYBooked this site at the beginning of the year and was looking forward to staying here. Upon arrival was greeted by a couple who checked me in and said pick a pitch and come back and let them know what pitch number I'd chosen. Pitch 79 right on the corner . No awning as weather was not good so didn't put one up. Gets settled then leaves to go into blackpool...... only to be stopped and asked to come back into the office and pay £3 for the pitch I'd chosen. Told if parked in a blue peg park the car at the front of the van . It was not a very busy site and no one next to me for the 3 daysSite not maintained very well with grass on caravan pitches. Traffic noise from nearby motorway plus road leading up to caravan site Atrocious . No shower curtains in showers resulting in damp clothes.

On arrival, a female warden gave us a friendly welcome and reminded us to pitch the caravan between the white pegs with the car to the side away from the caravan door, which we did. On day three, a male warden came to our caravan and said the car had to be moved to the front of the caravan if the site got busy. This would mean it going onto part of the road as we were using the other side for sitting and the BBQ. The reason was that pitches were less than 6 metres apart when a car was parked at the side. We accepted this. An hour later, another warden came and told us to move our car, saying we could be reported to head office who would letter us for not following the rules of the site. At this time, there were at least 5 empty pitches at our side of the road and a significant number of empty pitches throughout the site. He was quite rude and persisted in us moving the car. This was 11 am. with no one else allowed on site until 1pm, and therefore, there was no need to move the car at this point. We moved the car, and now others had to drive onto the pitches at the other side of the road to get passed despite us parking close to our caravan. The pitches on either side of us remained empty throughout the 5 night stay. Caravan siite roads are heavily worn in places with many covered in moss. We didn't use the toilets or showers on site, so we cannot comment on them. The water and waste points, as well as the chemical disposal point, could have been improved with a good clean. This is the first caravan club site we have been at that lets down the Caravan Club's standards and friendliness.

Site staff were very pleasant but the site is rundown and tired. The entry and exit barrier system was partially broken and the road ways were in poor condition in places.Cannot rate the standard of showers and toilets as we use our own in the caravan.

We spent 2 nights at Blackpool south site over a weekend fri to Sunday if this had been the first site we had stayed in a caravan and motor home club site we would. Never used them again we encountered a staff member after we had left the site to go for a meal for a couple of hours on our return to our pitch a member of staff came up to our motorhome window to speak to us we were told when we had left the site that we had broken the camping and motorhome club rules as we had not left a market on our site that the pitch was taken he started to lecture us about the mistake we had made Î must say he was very bad mannered he didn’t ask if we knew about leaving a marker told him that we did know and had made an error in forgetting to put it in the place of our motorhome he told us he had had to move 3 others who who had decided to use our pitch we explained we thought that everyone was allocated a certain pitch as we were on arrival he said no anyone can go anywhere Of the sites we have stayed in previously we have always been allocated a numbered space Î must say out of all of the sites we have stayed on Blackpool south has been the worst the toilets and wash rooms were nice and clean but the staff’s attitude Has put me off and the dog walk on this site is hardly a dog walk just a patch of square grass for your dog to use the toilet very poor the site in Southport is better for a dog walk We wish we had returned to Southport I will be thinking twice before renewing my subscription as I know there is better alternatives that are cheaper We both felt attacked by the man clearly a hobsworh who wants someone to break a rule so he can jump all over them sad man on a sad site we won’t be returning to this site

Stopped for 1 night, exit barriers don't work, so just left via the entrance barrier. Key drop off is to the right of the entrance barrier. Shower block is worn and dated. Needs a refurb. Very small shower cubicles.

Location was fine 10 minute walk to a tram into Blackpool. Washing machine broken, front gate exit broken, facilities clean but dated. Old man warden was rude and came across as a bully. Admittedly, we’d parked our van incorrectly - we’re beginners. Nothing said until we were leaving when he stormed over to give us an ear full. Couldn’t get a word in edge ways and had heard him barking at other customers earlier, was unwilling to listen to our reasoning (motor mover malfunctioned, didn’t have space to reverse due to an obstruction, so pulled on forward as we’d been told to do in a similar situation on a different CAMC site), then stormed off. Then hid out of view, which meant we couldn’t get off the site due to broken front gate. In the end, a kind visitor buzzed us out with their key (which we’d obviously already handed in). Won’t be visiting this site again.
