Chris is very competent and exceptionally friendly. We've had lots of trouble with our fire and downdraft in an older house. He came by several times, initially suggesting first an attempt at an easier and cheaper solution before offering to re-pipe and redo the chimney at the top of our house. All problems solved. I can't recommend him highly enough for any work that needs doing around fires and chimneys! Mike Stephan

After contacting a number of local fireplace specialists and finding them to be les than helpful, we stumbled across Chris at Summerfield by chance googling. From the beginning Chris was friendly and helpful, listened to our requirements and offered excellent suggestions to solve our design issues. Together with Martin, he created us a lovely fireplace that looks a million times better than the old one, and installed us a lovely stove that we can’t wait to start using. Overall we are very happy with the service we received from Summerfield and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to revamp their fireplace. Thank you!

Highly recommend. First Martin and Rob opened up two fireplaces which had been bricked in years and years ago then installed new slate hearths and repointed the old brickwork so they looked amazing. Then Chris and Martin came back to install a log burner into one and a steel plate to cap off the other. The end result looks brilliant and high quality. Nice guys as well, easy to work with and no fuss. Thanks!

Many thanks to Chris and Martin, I got my WestFire uniq 23 inset fitted. Right from the first of metting Chris I knew he was professional. I was kept informed at all times. Was told by someone else that I couldn't have an inset but Chris said it would work and it did. The job was done very well and quickly. I fully recommend Summerfield. Just make sure you have lots of tea bags ( they like there tea, hahaha). I couldn't be happier ( genuine reveiw). thanks again Chris and Martin.Steve

Could not recommend these guys more. Installed a log-burner in an old open hearth and even unexpected loose chimney blocks weren't a problem for them. Happy to source the required burner at a discount and the overall job was completed quickly, to a high standard and for a good price. Could not recommend these guys highly enough.

These stars are well deserved. Martin & Rob worked tirelessly over 2 days this week to open up our exisiting fireplace and fit a wood-burning stove. Their standard of work cannot be faulted. They were a pleasure to have in the house. Chris, who owns Summerfield, was very informative and entertaining during our initial consultation. We wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Chris and Martin were fantastic, managing to fit us in to install a wood burning stove before Christmas. The work was finished to an excellent standard, they were very friendly to have around the house, left no mess, and managed to get the job done in a day despite the very challenging wet weather conditions. The stove looks fantastic, burns very well, and we couldn't be happier. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Summerfield to anyone needing a wood burning stove installed.

Chris & Martin were super efficient, and stayed until the job was complete. Respectful of my home, they were tidy, cleaned up after and kept me informed about everything they were doing. Summerfield have been brilliant. Chris was very quick to respond to a request for a new wood burner and quickly set up a visit. The quote was very competitive and they were quick to order the parts and arrange an install date.The installers could not do too much for us, efficient, clean and gave us very comprehensive training on how to use it effectively. It looks amazing and works brilliantly, just in time for Christmas.
