The Laurie Pike Health Centre

If I could give this surgery a 0 rating I would. Having attended the surgery at 8.10 a.m to try and get an appointment I was told I had to phone in even though I was standing right in front of the receptionist. I had tried calling already so again called in front of the receptionist to explain the line was constantly busy. I left the surgery and continued to call. I got a message to say someone will call back, they did at 9.15 and as expected there were no appointments left. This surgery is a shambles and not fit for purpose. They should have a poor CQC rating.

I was a bit apprehensive about registering my new born and I due to the negative reviews but i can honestly say my experience has been the total opposite. Can always get an appointment (and we've had quite a few over the past couple of months with vaccinations etc). The reception staff are lovely and helpful and the clinicians are friendly and knowledgeable.

Been trying to call Laurie Pike for well over week now keep getting a message about Strep A and seasonal flu in the middle of May and that the appointments have gone for the day who's taking them appointment if the telephone line doesn't open until 8am. If your diverting all patients to 111 or the local pharmacy are you worth opening or calling yourself a surgery? What's with the message we've reached capacity on phone calls?Definitely not fit for purpose, would of given it zero stars if possible.

Have been trying to get an appointment for my 16 year old daughter since July. I start calling at 7.59 am (surgery opens at 8), get through at 8 to a message saying you are 30plus in the queue! How does that work? Finally get to the front of the queue on a good day around 8.45 to be told sorry there are no appointments left, call back tomorrow! I have been calling every day to be met with the same narrative. Clearly being one of the worst surgeries hasn’t motivated this surgery to improve and it is a far cry from the partners being committed to provide high quality patient friendly services. Actually seeing your patients would be a start.Eldest finally managed to get an appointment and spoke to Dr Paul who she said was lovely and re assuring. Youngest is unwell at the moment and again we saw Dr Paul. What a credit to Laurie pike and the profession as a whole. It’s what all the Doctors at Laurie Pike used to be like. Thank you Dr Paul, my little one cannot stop talking about how nice you were!I still think the practice needs a lot of improvement so that remains at 1 star but 5 stars for the Doc.

This is the worst GP I’ve ever been to. I would advise you find somewhere else. The nurses are so rude, receptionists are so rude. The nurse shouted at me for not giving my daughter a jab that will make her even worse as she suffers from severe reflux. I suffer with mental health so I now dread going there because of the way they treat their patients. I have had to order prescriptions 3 times before it actually gets sent out to the right pharmacy aswell. I have to order my daughters formula 2 weeks before it’s finished because there’s always an issue. I go to the pharmacy and they say it hasn’t been ordered yet. This also occurs with her medication. It’s ridiculous. When I call them up they say it’s been sent out but the pharmacy have no record of it then they’ll say “we will order it again”. Just utter disgrace.

Awful trying to get an appointment for my medication review, they keep saying call next morning. I think you should not register people anymore if you can't help people get appointment.

I have no issues with the nurses and doctors here even the receptionist are nice too. The reason I gave 1 star is because it's impossible to get an appointment. I have to get my fit note renewed since last Wednesday. I call up everyday and in a queue above 30 after an hour and half been told there's no appointment so call back next day which is what I do then told the same thing over again. Now the jobcentre are pressuring me to get my fit note ASAP which is impossible as I can't get through. My health has got worse and I can't see a gp so I'm guessing the hospitals now are packed mainly because no one can see their gp. You used to be able to walk in at 8am to book appointment now since 1st March they stopped that. Its so unfair

Absolute bloody joke! I rang at 8.10 in the morning put myself in the queue to be called back. Got a called at 10 to tell me there's no appointments left. I've tried 3 times this week! It's a shame as there's a couple of good doctors in there! NHS is a disaster! Can't even get a bloody appointment! Sort urselves out!

If I could give a 0 score. I would. My partner is going through a cancer scare. She has been moved because of Birmingham city council and temporary accommodation. Because she is not in the area they have taken her off the register completely. She has no help and this surgery doesn't care if she dies.

I would happily give 0 stars! Called at 8am promt, 30 people in front of me. Get through at 8.45am then surprise, surprise I am informed NO appointments! I was told to call back again the next day when it’s less busy. Joke of a health centre, I have never known anything quite like it. Happy to discuss. It’s like Groundhog Day
