Creation Climbing Centre

Great rock climbing, challenging grades (rather on the stiff side)A bit to cold - even for winter. Relatively colder than other climbing gyms, and the cafe wasn't too clean.

Our new go to climbing centre. Great high climbs in varying styles decent height and some designed to feel like actual cliff faces. Plenty of difficulty levels to choose from. Expanding bouldering sections for when you haven’t got a climbing partner or use the autobelays which also have a range of challenges! Courses to improve ability available. Staff on hand to check your ability before you climb! Skate park also attached (haven’t used this!) on the downside: Changing room is as basic as needed but often very cold. Too few lockers which are a little too small (the largest ones are always full and I often have motorbike gear to store!) and the toilets need an overhaul. Cycle / motorbike parking outside would be advantageous. Back on the positives: There’s a great range of climbing accessories available to buy and staff on hand to give advice, however from a retail point of view, the Cafe is cheap and the food is basic greasy spoon / burger options. It would be nice to have something more healthy to compliment the fitness / exercise opportunities at the centre. No vegan options. (I’m not vegan but it’s a growing trend!) Would recommend.

Don't bother if you want any kind of support for GCSE courses. The instructors are disorganised, don't have a clue what is needed and hard to book. When you do book in 3-4 weeks in advance to ensure you can get an instructor they make no allowances for any change in time which is absolutely ridiculous when their competitors offer cancellation up to 48 hours before a booking.Note too that the cafe is a complete mess with no clean tables and the staff aren't bothered to clear these. It gets cold and some heating wouldn't go amiss. Doesn't help that the owner sits at a table and when he has moved off comes back to rudely demand that customers have to move because he didn't really leave the table".In a nutshell customer service is appalling and the owner's attitude arrogant beyond belief. Won't be back and will be reporting to Birmingham City Council about the lack of hygiene in their cafe. Caveat emptor."

Was here this morning doing some bouldering with my daughter, she had banged her hand and was upset and without even asking a female member of staff (Rachel I think?) came over and helped get an ice pack and helped calm her down. Thank you!Great to see new Bouldering routes up at a variety of levels, really helping me set some challenges for the kids :)

Great place to go bouldering, for all ages. 60s, 30s and 8yr old have a good time together here. All very reasonably priced. Café is very pocket friendly which is a refreshing change.

Came to this centre as my son had a lesson with Jordan from crux climbing (for a change venue was here). Great place, very big. Has a skate park too which was fun to watch. Cafe is relatively cheap and clean too with drinks.

Nice place to climb. Good routes. Good bouldering. A little run down and parking is a pain if really busy, but still well worth it.

Place needs a good clean! Apart from that it was OK..

Took our girl and some friends for a climbing experience - Jon and Simon are great instructors and they really looked after them, encouraging them to push themselves and gain their confidence. Highly recommended!
