got a large cod, chips and gravy. the cod was fresh and the cut was thick; gravy was well-seasoned and tasted great even after it got cold. great fish and chip option for if you're in the area!

Absolutely fantastic. Fish was huge and freshly cooked. Delicious. Chips was perfectly cooked and more than enough. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend anyone visiting Swansea to go The Bay fish and chip shop. Best fish and chips we have tasted.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips from the bay chippy. 3 x portions of regular cod and chips, plus a scampi with chip butty, which was more than enough to fill 4 of us up.Everything was cooked freshly to order which meant there was a short 5 minute wait after ordering, however I'd happily wait for the freshness received. An optional slice of lemon with every fish dish, which I've never seen from a takeaway chippy before but it was a very welcome addition!Inside was lovely and clean, the staff were very welcoming.Only downside is we ordered 2 sachets of mayo, but once I'd made it to the beach with the rest of the order I only noticed they were missing then. My own fault!

I did a Google search to find a good chippy in the Swansea/Mumbles area and the Bay Chippy had good reviews so we went there after a fishing trip. The staff were really friendly and the fish was freshly cooked. The large size is massive, but great if you’re really hungry. This was the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Recommended to us by a local. Freshly cooked while we waited. Still too hot to eat when we'd got to the beach! Great traditional fish and chips.

Moved into the area a few months ago and The Bay Chippy has been such a staple, especially as the weather's gotten warmer! Cannot recommend this store enough, their portion sizes are more than enough and sure to leave you full (especially if you get a large). The staff are friendly and a delight to chat to, definitely visit if you're nearby! What we got:Large Fish and Chips - crisp batter and well cooked fish, not too oily and fresh tasting. Chips, generous portion, and fluffy on the inside! Generous portion sizes and a massive fish!Battered SausageSteak & Kidney Pie - filling and a nice pie.

I tried this chippy for the first time the other week, and it's certainly the best chippy near me.The fish was nicely cooked with a good crisp batter, and the chips were decent. The cod was huge, and the chips portion was large, but not the excessive mountain of chips that some places serve.I went on a Friday at dinner time, so it was super busy, and the serving staff were pretty stressed and occasionally muddled, but still polite and friendly. The food was slightly on the dear side, at over £10 for a large cod and chips, and a can of coke, but for the quality, I think that's fine. I'll be going back again.
