Freshwater Bay Long Stay Car Park
A good amount of parking here, all on one level. Just across the road from Freshwater Bay. It's also handily placed for walkers and cyclists whether walking Tennyson Down to The Needles or cycling along Military Road, enjoying some breathtaking scenery.From the carpark, try Wightwood Pizza (usually there early evening, Friday and Sunday but check their Facebook page as days and times may change during the holiday season). Also, the Travelling Tavern, a converted double decker bus is well worth a visit. Again, check Isle of Wight Bars Facebook page to confirm times, dates, and whether they have a band.

Small bay to west of island with shingle and sand beach. From here you can walk up to Tennyson's Monument.

Everywhere was closed, must be setting up for the holiday rush! I must say the small breach front needs a good clean and sweep to get rid of the sand and pebbles bought up by the winter storms.

The car park is adequate and parking costs the same here as most other car parks on the Island. With so little to do in Freshwater Bay, one wonders what need there is for a long stay...?

Freshwater Bay Long Stay Car Park
Don't use this as there's free parking up the road and other parking near the Albion Hotel. When I did have to use it the machine was out of order and tried to phone the parking line up and after 18 minutes of sorting out the line disconnected. Stated use the alternative parking meter but there ain't one. Drove out and not going to try again.

Opposite the beach across the road With Toilets nearby.It has an app to pay on your phone to pay for parking if you don't have any change. Like all carparks on the Island you have to pay to park.

I understand this is a National Trust carpark. The toilets are disgusting and desperately need upgrading. We couldn't find a rubbish bin after picking up rubbish on the beach, obviously left there by people who couldn't find a bin and were too lazy to take their rubbish home with them.

Freshwater Bay Long Stay Car Park
This was my first experience of Isle of Wight beaches, and it will definitely not be my last. We paddle-boarded and snorkeled, and enjoyed it so much we went back twice. It felt very safe, even when it was a bit choppy. The water welas deep enough to be interesting but safe enough that we never felt like we were in danger.
