Had a lovely meal served by a very pleasant young lady. The atmosphere was warm and friendly too. We used a discount code which was for 33% off food, we found on Facebook. The staff asked me on arrival if we had any discount codes, which was helpful and saved us explaining at the table. I will definitely be returning.

We had the Christmas menu, great value for money and portions are a good size, the cheese fondue, pate and goujons all lovely. I had chicken burger and chips, burger nice , chips undercooked and lukewarm and the coleslaw had too much parsley in it, I couldn’t eat it. The gravy on the roast dinner was very thin, but the roasts potatoes were good. The puddings all yum, cheese and biscuits and the ice cream sundae. The parking is great here, if anyone has walking difficulties, it’s perfect. We had eaten here many times, today wasn’t the best we’ve had . Service was good though.

A typical Beefeater restaurant decor and atmosphere with decent quality food. Our visit was for the unlimited breakfast, which in itself was nice. The waitress was lovely and friendly but perhaps could have had some help as she was greeting people and seating them, taking orders, serving and topping up the continental buffet by herself. Overall, it is a good dining experience and value for money.

Small wait to be shown to a seat, then given our menus. Once we ordered, we waited for our meals, I think they were busy for a Tuesday, with the 33% off, maybe a lot were getting the offer. Good meals all round, mains & desserts.

Staffs are nice and helpful.Kids meal is great! There were many options, sadly pizza and corn was not available that day. Good price and low salt/sugar. Strawberry yogurt win a price from my son.Adult lunch meal is fair. We had steak , gammon steak, sandwiches. Steak was below average tho. We ordered 3 medium rare, one was over cooked. All three has quite a lot tendon. Sandwich was good. Gammon steak was fair. The soup was great.Suggestion: give more options on sides. Ideally not only fries and chips. May be corns, green veggies , mashed potato.

Visited Friday 23 September. Extremely good value for money. Most helpful & friendly staff. Danielle was as always outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Good meal, efficient in all ways. Highly recommend. Never have had a bad meal even when they are very busy. Full marks from me 100%.

Met up with friends here and it was our first time. The food was great and so was the service. It was lovely to sit in a restaurant and be able to talk to each other without overbearing background music. The waitress was very accommodating as some of the items that we were looking forward to on the sweet menu were unavailable. Would definitely recommend.

Smugglers Haunt Beefeater
Updated as visited again. June and the staff were fantastic.I have been staying at the premier inn on the same site as the smugglers and I haven’t got a bad thing to say about them. I’ve used them for breakfast where I had a full English. The staff are quick at serving as well as kind and polite. I have also been using them for dinner. I had the mixed grill which was an absolute delight. Nothing wrong with the food it was fantastic. Great service as well as a great atmosphere for everyone there. Will be back soon and can’t wait.
