Booked tyres, tmps service and wheel alignment online.On arrival felt like we were being shooed out and told to come back in 2 hours, when called to say tyres and TMPS were done were told car would not fit on alignment machine - why could we have not been told in arrival so we could sort somewhere else? (It’s a RR evoque so this may happen to others with small 4x4)Positives:Refund was quickly actioned and the tyres were good value

Avoid this at all costs. I turned up FOUR minutes late for an MOT and the guy immediately scolded me for being late. Then I was told they couldn’t do my MOT because it would run into the next persons and cancelled my appointment! Either this guy was on a mad power trip or they just have a ridiculous scheduling system? Why not leave ten minutes between each appointment in case the previous one overruns? It has caused me so much inconvenience as now I need to reschedule, take time off work and find time during the week.literally avoid at all costs.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I have just encountered a shocking experience at Sidcup auto centre. Halfords are obviously pushing a marketing strategy of get cars in offering cheap service and MOT and then pick the car to pieces with very minor issues and failing its MOT. Before I had this service and MOT I went to Bromley Halfords for a new battery fitting. They gave me a free ‘health check’. They picked up a few things which we corrected there and then and also mentioned about new exhaust. So the next day I got a complete new exhaust system at a garage that had it up on the ramp and he too gave my car a ‘health check’ as I mentioned it was going for MOT the following week. So I was confident my car would be okay at passing its MOT. How wrong I was. They failed it.They picked up that a coil spring was fractured (which I’m now sceptical about considering it wasn’t picked up two days earlier and now knowing what Halfords are like) and that my headlights were out of alignment. They said they can fix this for me. Annoyingly I agreed a price. They then got back and said they will fail it again unless I pay out for a completely new headlight. As it was still out of alignment and they can’t fix this.This would have cost me an extra couple of hundred pounds for fixture and fitting. I asked them to explain the exact problem. They said the beam was too low. I wasn’t convinced by this said okay I’m not paying any extra and took it somewhere else to get tested. Low and behold it passed with no problems. Once it had I showed the new tester that it had just failed for headlight alignment at Halfords. He looked confused and said he just raised the beam from dashboard control. I’m still in shock now, Halfords wanted to fit a completely new headlight for that. Be careful of these absolute clowns.

Simon, the manager is extremely rude. Cancelled on me the morning of MOT and service, and then refused to complete MOT when I turned up at 13.33 for a 13.30 appointment. Completely shocked at the behaviour, attitude and lack of customer service skills and empathy. Think they need a reality check and should work in the NHS with me

It's been years since I was last in any place where the Customer Services was this good, Simon is a credit to the company, friendly, informative and very helpful.....you can't go wrong with this gentleman......thank you so much for all your help Simon.

Just a first class experience, the team were very warm and welcoming - they were genuinely interested in getting to know me. To be honest, Abs and his team are just really decent people, hard working and honest.The MOT Test was quick, efficient and without delay - communication was great and I will be coming back for all my motoring needs.Keep up the great work.

DO NOT USE THIS AUTO CENTRE!I booked an MOT (and was charged £30 by the way, so the free MOT in the motoring club is a myth it seems) with the sidcup garage. Before I even left the garage I was called back in by a smirking mechanic who said he'd checked and there was no oil in the car, so he couldn't perform the MOT. At the same time the receptionist looked over and shook his head in disbelief that I could be so stupid. Halfords had changed and filled the oil themselves, and there's no oil on my driveway. Plus, the oil light has not illuminated and the car is running fine so why would I have any reason to think the oil was low?I took the car home, let it cool and checked the oil myself. The engine levels are fine. Any more oil would put it over the levels marked on the dip stick. This means that your sneering mechanic is also a bare faced liar who just fancied an hour off.DO NOT USE THIS AUTO CENTRE.

Steer clear - booked in for a full service and misfiring issue. Didn’t check spark plugs or coils and told us it was a problem with the automatic gearbox that they dont do. Had to take car to another garage who told us it was a spark plug issue and that the air filter didn't even look like it had been changed as the area was dirty and there were no screwdriver marks on the screws or the filter area. Very bad and £250 down the drain!

Not very helpful. I was told twice in different occasions that they could not do the repair and I should look for another garage.Another two occasions I had problems with booking things online, when they messed the booking and I had to rush to look for another garage that could help me.Plus, the times I took my car for a service, it took the whole day.Overall, I had nearly 2 years of bad experiences. I don’t recommend.
