I had wanted to come here for a while so I popped in yesterday afternoon. I was blown away by the food and service. It was absolutely delicious and can't wait to visit again. It really adds to the diversity of smithdown and is a welcome addition . The portions are a good size and reasonably priced. See you soon guys xx

Unbelievable! Obe's Kitchen sets the standard for African Cuisine in Liverpool. The food is authentically african, served piping hot and is made with quality ingredients. The service is prompt. The atmosphere is clean and vibrant. If your a fan of African food you will LOVE this place.

Fantastic food and great service. Generous sized portions, could easily feed two. Went for suya meal which was well seasoned, spicy with good kick, tasty jollof and sweetness of plantains balancing everything out.Welcome addition to Smithdown Road!

It's really delicious food, I've been 5 times now, and it never disappoints. Great food, generous portions, always cooked to order, friendly staff, and a very sociable, neat little restaurant. Would recommend without hesitation.

I ordered from Obe’s last night. Incredible food, the chicken was some of the best I’ve had, absolutely brimming with flavour, the jollof rice you could enjoy as a stand alone dish it was that tasty however I opted to have it with coleslaw, home made chilli and plantain.Created a beautiful medley of flavours and texture and the portion size was perfect.It’s great to see we have West African cuisine represented to such a high standard. Loved it and can’t wait to order again.

Been wanting to try this place since it opened as the food looked delicious! I came a few days ago and had the Egusi and yam and it was amazing! The service was great the lady was so welcoming! I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Good music :) will definitely be back soon! :)

I really enjoyed Obe's welcome when we arrived, but even more than that ....THE FOOD! Unlike many 9ja joints doing some kind of jagajaga nonsense food - particularly soups and especially anything beyond the standard egusi and okra - the afang soup at Obe's is TOP -very authentic, with stock fish and meat and cooked properly....not that yeye variant that has to be dredged up from under a slick of palm oil.The suya and jollof was also great.Well done Mr Obe for opening a nice place in south Liverpool selling great food - I'll be back soon.

Great staff, fun energy and incredible food. I’ve eaten here many times. The flavours are so good and the meals leave you feeling nourished. Fave place to eat / get food on Smithdown by far.

There are some one star review on here peddling some lies. Don't listen, the place was spotless. Like, it sparkled. Food was fantastic too: grilled chicken was on point, plantain was delicious. Also the staff were really good with our baby boy and had a high-chair for him. Five stars, one of the best places on Smithdown. Give it a try. Will go back soon.
