I joined The County Register for the third time in 2021 and I can only highlight the fact that the members are very high quality, all have been carefully vetted and personally interviewed, you can also visit their office and meet the matchmakers and staff. I also find it very reassuring that Heather Heber Percy, the original founder, is still around and actively involved with the company. My advice would be – don’t settle for less..

When I joined, I had such a detailed interview that I really felt that The County Register would be able to match me with someone who I would be able to connect with, whether that would lead to anything more or not. As it turned out, it isn't like that at all, its just like online dating, only very expensive! I was never matched with anyone even remotely similar interests, in fact I never had an actual introduction with anyone. Complete waste of time and money.The response from the owner speaks volumes, as most of it is untrue. I did provide updated photos, I did NOT tighten the criteria, and I only rejected people that were so far removed from what I stated I was looking for that I had no choice. I rejected the lifetime offer because......you aren't telling the truth about your business and I would like to put what has been a very expensive and negative experience behind me

It was difficult to find time for dating as a busy professional. The custom pairing service offered by The County Register was revolutionary. They were able to select matches that were well-suited to my busy schedule and personal tastes. My matchmaker, Lucy, was outstanding in her manner; she offered knowledge and support. It has been a life-changing event that has helped me make pleasurable and meaningfulthat I never would have otherwise.

I wasted £7,495 on this company having been promised “A not insubstantial amount of matches in the Executive Membership group”. That was not true. This company has virtually no men on its books and those it does are neither of the background or standard it suggests it has, with them having had to trawl other cheaper companies to find anyone. Many men pay nothing at all as they are desperate to get men. When you complain the company is extremely aggressive and threatening. I gave them detailed serious concerns about the man I was matched with who I did have a relationship with which they have dismissed putting other women at risk having no regard to their safety. I feel as though I have been scammed out of £7,500. I am not the only one. Read the article in the Daily Mail from the 23rd March 2022 about a lady who had a very similar experience to me. It feels as though they use vulnerable women (I am disabled, others are bereaved or have come out of an abusive relationship) ladies who just want to find the right man and are prepared to invest to do so. There is no actual matchmaking in my experience and I was sent entirely unsuitable profiles, although even getting a profile was like getting blood out of a stone. I have now had a much better on-line experience for just £160 with exactly the type of men I was looking for. One star is too much for the County Register.
