Freezing inside, had to keep my coat in the entire time. Waited 50 minutes for our food to come out, in that time, no one offered us anymore drinks. Went to the bar 3 times before we managed to get some. No apology for massive wait for food. Food was okay, nothing special & not worth the fancy price. Chips with the burger tasted like frozen chips. Hardly any gravy with the fagots, only 1 carrot. Onion rings were greasy & actually, inedible. Pudding was okay, had the crumble, again, nothing special. Eventually managed to ask someone for the bill, which was brought to us, with the cheek of a tip added already! Felt rude asking to remove it but very much begrudge paying it. Wouldn’t recommend or re-visit. Very disappointing, as we attended for a special birthday & felt it was ruined.

We went for a family celebration and we all agreed that the evening really couldn’t have been better. There were nine of us including two small children, we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Many thanks Lime Kiln, we’ll be back.

Lovely pub with various areas to sit in . The outside is lovely but a bit warm under the plastic roof, the views to the hills are ample compensation. We went for the restaurant area where the seats are more comfortable and you can still just about get the views!Food was well prepared and presented. Service although slow at times was friendly and polite. The food tasted very good and was a good portion. The koffmann fries were very good. Overall pricing gives you a high degree of expectation, which they haven't quite achieved yet.

As Vegans, my partner and I are often disappointed whilst eating out.The Lime Kiln inn was a total contrast, nothing was to much trouble, very comfortable seating area, friendly staff and the Vegan meals we both had were exemplary. All our food was delicious and a flavour explosion with each mouthful. The attention to detail was exquisite and all our dishes were art on a plate.I cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be returning

One thing that I always check when eating out is whether the plate is hot. It wasn't, which meant the food went cold quite quickly.Considering the price of the roast, which is fairly high when looking at around the area, I thought it was fairly average and disappointing. Certainly seemed like frozen roast potatoes. Pleasant staff but the atmosphere was a little stale sadly.

Very average Sunday lunch - lacked seasoning all round & the red wine gravy was not!! Tasteless packet gravy mix is unacceptable in a restaurant. No horseradish sauce with our roast beef either. A good Sunday dinner is an easy ask of a good chef & kitchen. Nobody asked if we wanted more drinks or deserts.Dogs allowed in bar & outside covered part of restaurant.Need to book at weekend to ensure getting a table.

Delightful Inn in a lovely setting. Also very good service. Sadly this was let down by rather uninspiring food. Full marks for chips but watery chicken and mushroom pie with a small amount of undercooked cabbage made for an expensive and disappointing meal. The gammon was large and well cooked but arrived with the pineapple we had asked not to have.Overall I felt that the meals were over-priced and uninteresting.

Amazing staff, very friendly and great service. They allow camper vans and motorhomes to park for the night if you eat at the pub. This is our second visit and we'll be back for a third!

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch. All the food was fantastic (although our 2 “older” family members would prefer the cabbage cooked a bit longer!!!) My step Dad said the Sticky toffee pudding was the best he’d ever had!Right From the welcome at the door, Service was brilliant; it was so nice to have staff who were not moody teenagers!! Hugo/Rob was hilarious- we had great banter and fun with him and the rest of the staff joined in with our silliness! Beer and wine was enjoyed and Henry’s Cheery Bakewell cocktail went down a treat with my daughter! We will be back!!!

Really sad that we weren't offered a child's menu and only found out about it after our visit. The mac n cheese had no taste, the crackers on cheese board weren't very pleasant and the cheddar wasn't vintage as described but mild or just mature, Not very nice. I think the rest of the family enjoyed their roasts. The service was polite but slow, drinks were slow coming and the lady only half cleared our plates, leaving us sat there for 20mins when we had to ask for the dessert menu ourselves, collecting it from the bar. A real shame!
