Would not recommend. I payed for a yearly membership because it was advertised as having a boxing facility but when I arrived I was told it was currently out of order and would be repaired in the next week. It wasn't, so I asked a staff member about it and was then told it would be repaired soon once again. This cept happening, me asking and being told it would be repaired soon, until I have given up. It has almost been two months now and had probably not been working before I joined. It's deceptive to advertise the gym as having a facility then allowing it to be out of use for months. A temporary solution should have been found like many other gyms would have.Edit: After this review they put the bag back up.

Mostly friendly staff and good up to date facilities. Gym is a bit small and as such gets pretty crowded at peak times which makes it not so fun, but can't overly complain with the student membership price so low. Wish there was a pool on campus.

The facilities are really good... when you can get to them. I just can't find a time where not queuing for equipment. I just don't understand why a new gym would be built on a campus, where the university knows how many people come and go, around a quarter of the necessary size

Despite having a few good classes (e.g. Ab attack- recommend) and friendly gym trainers, the reception staff really let this gym down. The person who registered me and introduced me to the gym was lovely, however I have encountered other reception staff, who really shouldn't be the 'face' of the centre. They are rude, unhelpful and do not have good levels of customer service. For instance, today I said to one of the staff members that I was never ticked off the register in my class, as no register was done by the instructor. I wanted to check I didn't get a charge (another issue I will come to later), so I went to the receptionist and informed her. Instead of noting my name down, or being helpful. She was rude and unhelpful and wanted me to interfere with another class that was going on so the instructor could check me off the list. At first, I said I didn't want to interrupt the class, can you confirm I won't get charged, as I attended the class! Yet instead of saying no or yes, her answer was cryptic and she could not give me a satisfactory answer. She was also incredibly patronising. In the end she just said go back to the class. I did and I interrupted the class. I don't like being put in that position, so I was not happy at all, especially after a long day of work.Another time I encountered rude service was when I asked about the fee they charge you if you cancel an appointment. I really didn't feel well at the time and I asked to cancel. Okay... they have rules in place and it was only a few hours before the appointment, but the class only had 5 people in it. I wasn't taking anyones space and the class would still run without me or not. Firstly they told me that I had to pay whether I was ill or not, or just attend. They also rudely informed me that it was 'actually' the students idea to put this charge in place. Whether it was their idea or not, the charge makes no sense! Either have a charge for all classes, or none.I was not taking anyones place as the class was pretty empty! But it would have ran without me or not. Yet, if a class if full you can often get away with not paying (according to members I have spoken to). Logical? Not really... Secondly, they shouldn't have just used the term 'students' yes it's based in a university, but let's be inclusive to all your members. Thirdly I didn't see any compassion about being ill. I ended up going to the class, as I would not confirm to paying their pedantic charges. I ended up going home and fainting. So thanks for thatI wouldn't usually write such a negative review, however unfortunately the customer experience is what lets the gym down. There's good facilities, good trainers, and some good other members of staff, but you should really consider reviewing some of your staff members, or initiating some customer service training.I will be leaving the centre this week.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Home of the UWE Jets basketball club. Multi-use sports halls with two full size basketball courts. Overlapping markings as standard for UK basketball venues. Ceiling mounted hoops with good rims and glass backboards. Wall mounted scoreboards with player personal foul displays. Floor shot clocks available on request. Small car park but usually able to get a space without issue. If officiating you need to use the buzzer to get through the barrier to the car park.

Overcrowded and over-priced. It is costing me £18 per month for a gym with minimal machines and space. I cannot workout during the day as it is often too crowded so I have to go after dinner instead. Maybe if there were more machines or some more space in the bench area then it wouldn't' be as bad. Some thing that I would improve:- add dedicated raised platforms for deadlifts- transform one of the bench areas for a deadlift area- add a cable rows machineIf there was more space or less treadmills you could add even more stuff. The staff are very nice though. Always smiling and happy to help you with anything!

Staff are really rude.....I went for an induction at this gym the guy who walked me around just came across as if he couldn’t be asked. Also told me to put my stuff in the locker and said ‘you should of been told that’ but clearly I hadn’t been told when I went to reception. I asked him where the lockers were but it seemed to be too much effort for this guy to show me where the lockers were.....thankfully I found them. After my induction I asked the receptionist do I just come in and pay as you go at reception to use he gym and she said yes. No other information was given to me.I then went to this gym for a second time and reception couldn’t find my name on their system, there was no sorry and the receptionist came across as if I was lieing about coming in for an induction last week. The receptionist asked if I’d filled out a form which I said no because I wasn’t told to do one. The receptionist proceeded to say you ‘should of been told that’ which seems to be the gyms motto to blame the customer for their employees not knowing what they are doing. They finally found me under the wrong surname, the receptionist told me as if I should have known my surname was spelt wrong?! I explained that I assumed the girl I spoke to on the phone to book the induction wrote my name down correctly as she didn’t ask me to spell it.Eventually I got a sorry but the receptionist kept repeating that I should of filled out a form....which I was eventually given to complete.I’ve literally been to this place twice and both times I’ve been made to feel like it’s my responsibility as a customer to know their processes. If they were more helpful and less rude I wouldn’t be so bothered but both experiences have made me not want to go back.

Facilitates a place for anyone to go and do there sport or activity. It has got better this year 2018 in not canceling slots for outside booking as 2017. Plus it has a good equipped gym.

Complex has lots of facilities, gym, squash, basketball, pilates and many..gym part has lots of useful tools, maybe in busy times not lots of space but arranging a good time you can have very nice/efficient workouts there. Also it is very clean place and people are very careful socially distancing and cleaning tools after using.. Staff are very helpful too..

Lots of facilities, good staff, clean and tidy. Can be tricky to get to if you aren't a student on the campus.
