Market Rasen Surgery

Why do I have to ring at 8.30am on the dot to get a appointment this is absolutely ridiculous I thought by law you should be able to make an appointment to see a doctor and also the receptionist has no right to ask what your problem is this is private and confidential.We pay our taxes for this service therefore we should be entitled to get an appointment to see a doctor when we need one not be told ring in the morning.

Ring the doctors up this morning at half 8 my daughter has pink eye and her eyelashe is stuck in her eye. The lady said they don't normally check eyes out . She said but she will get a nurse to look at molly eye . Got there at 11.50 as was told to they couldn't find the appointment it wasn't on the computer I was like I phoned you up at half 8 first thing ..I got told your see her no we normally say go to hospital I explain to them the lady said it was OK my partner working in Sheffield said oh well it the same lady's as it was this morning and they know nothing about it liesMy daughter is autistic and non verbal not on its getting a joke now

I completely understand these are difficult/stressful times, and yes, I could be inaccurate as this is what I was told (happy to be corrected), but here goes: I drove up today with my neighbour who is 96, all the way from Market Rasen to Louth Hospital as he had an appointment for his Covid Jab for 11:20 AM. When we got there, we were met by two blaise members of staff at reception saying the vaccinations for the day had been cancelled and the cancellation had nothing to do with them/Louth Hospital. Also, they told us that the responsibility of informing patients of the cancellation a day before, was meant to be that of Market Rasen Surgery. No calls, no emails, nothing. A day wasted, on top of that the hassle, fuel and inconvenience. Apathy comes in taps. Thank you Market Rasen Surgery.

It is near impossible to make an appointment, the phone system is appalling with no indication of where you are in the holding pattern. reception is unable to book an appointment directly if you don’t call at 8.30 on the dot. how an 84 year old with early dementia is meant to get any level of service without the support of friends and family is baffling

I can't fault this surgery, everyone I've met there have been friendly and patient. Never had any problems getting appointments, I use their online portal and have always received a quick response; given either an answer there and then, a phone call or a face to face appointment. Great surgery.

As a new patient I was impressed that a Doctor came to see me at home as I was housebound, I wasn't even registered yet at the surgery. He even brought me anti biotics in case I had an infection. I had spoken with him on the phone prior to his visit so he was prepared. Now registered, if I need an appointment I book online and I have never had to wait longer than a week to see my GP of choice.
