My insurance company selected Kynastons as an ‘approved repairer’ my car had minor damage considering the accident and the car was in the garage for over a month, when the car came back the front bumper very clearly wasn’t sitting flush, I refused to accept my car back and they took it away and repaired it the same day, I noticed a dent in my wheel arch which wasn’t there after the accident, informed Kynastons and the workshop manager rob clear as day told me they never took that panel off so they didn’t know how it was damaged, I took my car to my local body shop and they informed me Kynastons would of had to of taken off the panel, I informed rob of this and surprise surprise he changed his story and told me they had in-fact taken off this panel but use ‘plastic tools’ so unsure how it’s got damage to it but will replace the wheel arch, I again felt very suspicious of Kynastons and took my car in for a full check over at myLocal garage, they found that Kynastons didn’t put my car on the ramp properly and have caused damage to the plastic underneath my car on both sides, Kynastons have caused £768.03 in damages to my car, don’t use this company unless you want your car coming back with more damage!!! My insurance company are now having to pay out to get my car repaired yet again but properly this time and I say properly because it’ll be in my local body shop. Am still awaiting the full 40Images of my car in their workshop that I have requested also!!

Had an insurence job with them last year. Took the mick and tried to get as much out of the insurence as possible, claiming for a new bumper (65% higher than the actual cost) which didn’t need doing, didn’t do the damage on the van than I actually asked for, possibly because they’re lazy, and when fitting the new wing, didn’t even allign it properly so my indicator is not level and bonnet looks like it hangs over. Moreover, had to pay their refrigerator sister company instead, possibly for some sort of tax avoidance. Terrible over priced and shoddy work. On the plus, the chap did collect my van and work on the rear was excellent.

AVOID!Terrible service from start to finish.Insurance job which took 5 months to get to a point of a garage accepting job -eventually Kynaston agreed to do it - a 1.5h drive from my house. The repair took a lot longer than initially advised. My partner went to collect car and unfortunately did not check the vehicle over at time of collection as it was dark and raining. When he arrived home he let me know they had failed to replace the smashed wing mirror glass. (They had actually caused further damage by cracking the stick on glass over the top of the smashed mirror). I noticed that a door also didn’t close properly. I rang them up and it took a couple of tries over different days to get through. They then tried to accuse me of smashing the wing mirror again already in a very condescending tone.It took multiple emails with evidence photos and phone calls for them to get back to me.They eventually said they had to send photos off to the insurer again to check this damage was there in the first place. After a month or so they confirmed this was part of the original job and said they would order a new wing mirror glass. It’s been a couple of months since this conversation and I still haven’t heard anything.
