We have just had a composite front door fitted by David, he guided us from the start , after looking at the brochures he explained everything in detail .We are so pleased with the end product . David is very professional and a great tradesman, very tidy worker.He is competitive and only fits quality products with a very personal approach, we have used him before to supply and fit some French doors , we have just placed another order with him for a window.

David fixed some broken window mechanisms and installed a new front door. Would highly recommend David's work, excellent communication, detailed quotes, polite, friendly, clean and meticulous. Really pleased with the work completed. Thanks so much :)

My daughter and I both had new doors fitted and she also had a window. David was friendly, helpful and did everything to keep us informed. His installation was unbeatable, he was tidy and thorough and I was incredibly happy with the finish as was my daughter. I wouldn’t even think of going anywhere else now and couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

I was very pleased with work done - and impressed with the care and attention he gave to making sure he did a perfect job!David recently did a few repairs for me, including window closing mechanisms and hinges, and a letterbox replacement.Sorry this is a long review, but I feel I can’t emphasise enough what a good job David Sherlock does.• Responsive – David was quick to respond to my initial phone call enquiry and also came out without much delay to look at what needed doing to provide a quotation. The quotation came through quickly – he had itemised each item clearly and also offered a discount for doing multiple jobs in one visit. He fitted in an appointment within a week of me confirming which jobs I would like him to do.• Quality of work – David clearly takes pride in what he does. A couple of the items he had to do turned out to be tricky, but he spent time on getting the work done to his satisfaction. I have definitely noticed how well the work has been done. The windows close snugly and are soundproof once again, which was the main issue. Additionally, the opening and closing action seems so much better than it ever was. I have also noticed that he greased the closing/locking mechanisms, which is not something a repairs tradesman has ever done before. The letterbox turned out to be a challenge – but David used his problem-solving skills to make sure he could make the new one fit the existing hole in the door!• Professionalism – David is very polite, professional and really seems to enjoy his work. He seems to like a challenge and doesn’t let any unforeseen problem beat him – which is really impressive! He takes the time to listen to what the issues are from the customer’s point of view, and talks you through what might need to be done.His written quotation and invoice are both very clear. Each item of work I had asked him to look at was costed separately on the invoice. There are no hidden extras and he explains how he can discount multiple jobs, so I could decide how much I wanted him to do.• Clean and tidy – David covered the space in the general work area to keep the carpet clean. He also made sure the area was cleaned and tidied up, after he had finished.• Pricing – compared to another local company’s pricing, this might have been a little more (they didn’t itemise their bill, so it was hard to compare), but not by much. Moreover, as I feel I got a much better service, due to the time David put in and the level of care and attention he gave the work, I think that, overall, it was a better investment.I would definitely recommend David Sherlock Home Improvements to anyone. I wish I had known about his service, years ago! I will definitely use his company again. It’s rare to find good quality tradespeople these days who do a thorough job to good standards for a competitive price – and I think I've found one, here!

Great company to work with - David is always polite, friendly and efficient. He has fitted a new porch for us and has since returned to replace a panel in our french windows as well as repairing the odd lock or two that has failed with our old double glazing.Super guy - would highly recommend you get in touch with him for all your double glazing repars and new installs. His charges are reasonable and his service exemplary.

David Sherlock has completed three projects for us and each has been very satisfactory. David was friendly and his work was very tidy.1. Installation of two round windows to replace the rotten single glazed originals.2. Fixing a broken latch mechanism in one of our windows. Which was tricky because the window was not able to be opened.3. Lubricate the hinges of all of our windows, replace some broken handles and replace a door panel which had condensation in it.

David is reliable, trustworthy and all his work is to a very high standard ,he is extremely tidy and always does a perfect job.We highly recommend him and would not use anyone else.

David put new frame and windows in my conservatory. As with previous jobs he has done for us he was very efficient, professional and does an excellent job. Thoroughly recommend.
