Absolutely fantastic little place. Wasn't expecting much for a restaurant in a caravan park but they have knocked it out the...well out the park with this one! Really nice scenery right on the river. Food was amazing. Had the tequila and lime chicken burger with dirty fries (baconaise, mozzarella and bacon) The mrs had a normal steak burger with millionaire fires (mozzarella and truffle oil) . Portion sizes are great. Well worth the money. Food quality is fantastic, staff are very friendly and they allow dogs too which is also a nice touch. If I'm in the area again, definitely coming back

I was really looking forward to dine at this place. It was a beautiful evening and rang to see if I could book a table outside but with a sun parasol because we had too much sun and wanted to keep my toddler out of the sun!On arrival we were told to pick a seat because they hadn’t reserved which was fine. So there was only two tables with parasol and were told we couldn’t go at the side where it was more shaded etc. shame because I presumed that’s where our table would be booked for.Menus came and told we had to order in next few minutes and go inside. Ordered our food,High chair came, but wasn’t able to get it up to the table. So we had to move tables without a parasol and at this point was directly in the sun. I know to others not a big deal, but kinda wanted some shade by the nice riverside because had don much sun.Drinks order came which was wrong, but no problems easy rectified. Beer never had a head. Husbands input. So I ordered my 15 month old food from the childrens menu and when served it was given in a boiling hot plate and they had served it worth a towel saying it’s really hot. What am I going to do with a boiling hot plate for my baby! Honestly, I just thought how ridiculous! All the adults plates were normal. My babies plate was so hot and the food it was like it had been kept in the oven to keep warm whilst out food was cooking. This was very frustrating to me, whilst by no means do I want the food cold but not piping hot ! So my desperately hungry baby had to wait whilst seeing all the food on the table and I’m pulling her food apart. My husband has asbestos hands and was like that’s even hot for me!I had to swap plates and wait to cool down.Whilst our food was delicious I just felt that it was very stressful, they had a big order of tables coming in and it felt like we had to hurry and the experience isn’t what I wanted! A real let down of an evening when a tired mumma just wants a break. We don’t have funds to go out much and we paid over £50 which is a big deal for us so we want a nice experience because we don’t get to do it much!Bit more thought needs to go into being a bit more child friendly!

Stayed at the camp site (really great site, good shower facilities, walks from the site, nice pitches, dog friendly). Had a few meals at the Riverside, friendly service, big portions, good price. Lovey location right next to the river. Will be back to camp and eat here again

There's a good chance you'll drive past this pub the first time then once you've turned back around, the thought will cross your mind that you've gone wrong again as you come face to face with an automatic barrier...Well, that's how it is here. We stopped in front of said barrier whilst three similarly uniformed gents stared at us. Upon enquiry it turns out that they will lift the barrier if you're going to the pub or indeed the sizeable caravan and camping park that lies the other side.So the pub or bar or cafe-style establishment is part of the caravan park, but don't let that put you off (if that does put you off) as it is a nice little stop off right next to the river with a few outside wooden tables or alternatively some of those lightweight aluminium chairs and tables on the patio. The garden has some steep steps that lead down to a small concrete bank and a small jetty on the picturesque river. Indeed, whilst we were here, there were a few canoeists that had returned from their adventures, hauling their kit up the steps and through the garden to an adjacent plotThe toilets at the time, involved the use of the toilet block over the road and hidden behind a hedge so you may need to ask for directions and I'd have to say though, it's more of a summer pub as the interior, pleasant enough as it is, contains more of those aluminium tables and chairs with a tiled floor giving it that all-inclusive Tenerife hotel feel to it. Top marks to the staff though, very friendly, chatty and accommodating, in fact we had a different member of staff producing each of our drinks. Reasonable drinks prices but didn't try the food merely because of the time of day.So if you're looking for a riverside pub in this area, this is a decent spot, albeit it has little in the way of competition.

A small cafe/restaurant within the grounds of a caravan park on the banks of the River Wye. It's open to non residents/campers and serves a simple unfussy breakfast menu. Both inside and outside seating. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I would certainly return.

Good to see this place open again after the winter break and the refurbishment. New seating, tables and an extension make a big difference. Lovely surroundings right on the Wye and a fine beer and food selection.Just had the Butcher's sausage sandwich with a coffee, and both were spot on.Give it a try when you're passing.
