Booked a van online, received a email asking us to pick it up at 9am with all relevant documents, turned up with documents at 9am to be told we should have received a phone call confirmation detailed nowhere in any email or previous correspondence. Had no vans in the lot. Didn’t turn up till gone 9am feels very much like a cash cleaning operation. Stay the hell away

Absolutely remarkable place to hire a van, i booked online late Thursday night with hopes that they would have a van to hire on Saturday. i received an email saying that they was one available, on the Friday morning @9.30 i received an email asking me to contact the company to confirm the booking of the van and to pay the cost of the van. the phone call was easy and instructions of what i had to do next and on the morning of the pick-up. on the day i got to the hire place it was lovely presented and clean property, i was greeted and treated perfectly. the paperwork process was quick and stress free I couldn't have asked for it to go any other way. they pulled the van out of the garage for me and did the checks of what marks are previously on the van, so they know if i was to make any damage. this process was quick and efficient and then I was able to be on my way. On the drop off of the van again it was all straight forward and hassle free. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and i will definitely be coming back to hire. The prices and service are absolutely spot on. big thumbs up for this business.

I contacted practical via their website to enquire if the had a small car free from 9am Friday to 4pm the following Monday. The replied the day after via email stating that they did have a car available.I contacted them via telephone and they said that the had a Vauxhall Corsa and that it would be £160 for the hire period that I required. I went ahead there and then and booked the car and paid in full over the phone.The day after I was contacted by practical who stated that they would need the car back by 9am on the return day and not 4pm as agreed as the car needed an MOT. I stated that this wouldn't be possible as I would still be away and travelling back at that time. We eventually agreed that I would return it 2 hours early at 2pm.On pick up day the process was smooth and easy even though the were clearly busy. I was taken out to the car and was presented with a Kia Sportage instead which was bigger and I would presume would of cost more to hire. This wasn't a problem as we were using it for a family trip to the coast, so more room the better.After driving away, approximately half an hour later the dash board lit up with a warning that the rear nearside tyre pressure was low so I had to attend a garage to correct this.After sorting the tyre pressure I returned home to load the boot with all the luggage for a trip away. This was made very difficult by the fact the the gas struts and failed on the boot so it would not stay up. I had to find a stick to prop it up so we could load and unload. A stick isn't something I was expecting to have pack for a family trip away.Once underway and half down the M62 I smelt a very strong smell of dogs Which was strange as we didn't have a dog with us and don't own one. One we arrived I looked under the boot floor into where the spare wheel is stored and was confronted with mounds of black dog hairs. A little bit of digging around in the rubbish and I discovered some store receipts which dated back to mid 2020, which to me says that the car hasn't had a good clean since then. For context I am writing this review on the 21st March 2022.Another problem that I found on the car was that the screen wash would not squirt water on the front or rear windows. Again this was something I looked at before setting off just expecting an empty washer bottle, but this wasn't the issue as it was full.When I returned the car I explained all the issues that I had found and was not offered an explanation as to why the car was presented to me like it was and I was not offered and kind of partial refund or incentive to return.Over all not a great experience.

Absolute great team here. They helped me when a large organisation let us down last minute for a charity event.The lads here couldn’t do enough to help me. Not only this but the actual hire costs were less than half the original price of the large organisation.Thanks for helping us out!!
