A real privilege to play at this amazing course once again. The new 9-hole course distils the character of the old course by preserving the best holes. It is in immaculate condition and is beautifully maintained. A good mixture of challenging and easier holes, with the par 3 2nd a downhill plunge on to a green far far below - very memorable indeed, but really the whole course is. The alternative tee holes for the second nine offer excellent variety. We chatted to the owner afterwards who was really friendly and passionate about the whole project - I wish it all the best as this is a very special place.

We played the course today and we were very pleasantly surprised. We only did 9 holes which was great value at £15. We hired a buggy for £15, also good value. The course is well laid out with a variety of different parkland golf holes. The views and scenery were stunning. One or two of the tees were a little untidy…the tee boxes use coloured garden trowels as tee markers, a nice touch. The fairways were lush and soft, very few divots. The greens were, I would say, work in progress. I believe the course in its current format is still relatively new.My GPS watch picked up Lostwithiel Golf Club…..closed many years ago so I got some interesting yardages on a few holes. Also, using the England Golf App the course is not listed nor rated so I was not certain what my playing handicap was on this course.A lovely course. Great views and a good variety of golf holes. I’m sure this course will continue to improve.

Great little course can be a tough round if u leave the fairways mind but with the backdrop views it's well worth a go.

Having been a member of the original golf club, it's fantastic to see it back better than ever! Everything about the course has improved, I can only see a bright future for the club. Cornwall has always been a great place to live, or visit, it's just got better thanks to the vision and hard work of Alex and his team.

What a fantastic find. Made very welcome by Joe who arranged for club rental. A 9 hole course with a varied front/back 9 arrangement that provides a good variety of shorter and longer holes. Very well maintained with some technically challenging fairways (!) and spectacular views throughout.

Very nice little 9hole course but long enough to hit all sorts of shots. Very interesting course with some challenging shots. Joe the manager is very helpful.

Played yesterday. Was extremely welcoming for a beginner somewhat getting Into golf. The chap gave us a great insight in how the course is changing and the long term plans for the club, how to play some holes and some extra balls. Played 18 and the variety was good between the long and short courses. Will definitely be coming back soon would recommend.

A stunning, beautiful landscape that will take your breath away.Myself and father were looking forward to playing here for some time. We read the websites do's and don'ts and followed the strict dress code. We finished the first 9 and were coming back around to play the 2nd 9, when we were a bit shocked to see a dog running loose on the course! Even more shocked to see that it belonged to a pair of golfers who were not in dress code and sharing a bag of clubs.OK fair enough, we shrugged it off until the dog started hunting pheasants and sending them up across our fairways. OK no problem, we carried on, only to find dog mess on 2 holes. Trying to scrape dog mess off my shoe is not my idea of fun!Real shame, but for £600 a year I'm out

This is a great little course. It has only 9 greens but the separated tee's enable you to play 18 unique (ish) holes. The only hole that isn't significantly changed is the par 3 2nd/11th. However this hole is one of several standout holes on the course that make it great. They have made great use of the land and its contours to provide some challenging holes and some teasing, potentially drivable, par 4s.The course also has some lovely views as it plays alongside the river Fowey. They have taken care of nature here too, with some proteted habitats turned into features that come with free drops that can sometimes help you out of trouble. At just £20 for 18 holes its a bargain!I would definitely play again and recommend it too to all standards.(It only lost a star for the lack of club house which is awaiting planning permission).
