The team at Balfours have managed my rental property for the last 4 years. Their service has been second to none. Jackie and her team have made the whole process extremely stress free. Cathrine performed the final inspection and handover professionally and with consideration leaving me nothing to do but receive the keys. Excellent customer service and professionalism - Balfours made the effort to return my call following our initial enquiry into a property, others across the county have to date been awful with their customer service.Lauren took care of us straight away - she was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and communicated well throughout the process of us recently securing a letting. We were kept in the loop with regular phone calls and emails.We also found Jackie to be very good - again, friendly, efficient and remained in good contact with us.Thank you and well done Balfours for being reliable where other agents are currently failing potential customers! Balfours LLP - Lettings and Estate Management
Enquired about a rental property, and explained current situation prior to booking a viewing as the property was a round trip of 330+ miles from current location. Verbally said this to Lauren, as I did not want to do the trip if the property was a no go based on my situation. Was told this was fine.Drove to the property, waited 15 minutes, nobody showed. Phoned Balfours who said they would chase the person who was supposed to be there. Person conducting viewing arrived 30 minutes after booked time, and said Balfour's had never sent through the booking and hadn't heard about me until the chasing phone call just made.Explained situation to person doing the viewing, no issues ever mentioned. Once home, filled out the forms, sent over a ridiculous amount of evidence.Then it got worse, Lauren didn't bother reading any of the emails or attachments until 4 days after they'd been sent and we were on the phone talking. Lauren also didn't appear to be able to logically digest the content of my emails, albeit simply laid out. Then Paula got involved, after a very unprofessional phonemail where she told me that my historical evidence of rental payments back to 2016 were meaningless, what I did for a living meant nothing, and refusing to let me speak without her speaking over me, I gave up and hung up the phone.I then requested that all my details be destroyed under GDPR, and that apart from a confirmation this had been done, I didn't want to hear from them again.Paula then sent a what can only be described as a snide email with another woman copied in as well as Lauren. I can only assume this is typical small office mentality!My final response was to destroy my personal information they held, and not contact me again apart from confirming this request had been actioned. Which Paula did.Then someone called Craig emails! By this point, the lack of clarity, customer service, professionalism and ability to honour a simple request of leaving me alone, I blocked them.No company has 5 stars consistently, those reviews have either been bought, made by people within Balfours, or friends & family.I hope that none of the people Balfours ever consider working in the industry I do, as they would be responsible personally for the liability attached to their decisions. Something they clearly aren't in the property industry.Had I known the shambles and lies prior, I would never have wasted over 8 hours of my time, driving 330+ miles and wasting half a tank of diesel to view a property.
