Not bad for a free museum but the website described it like it was a fantastic ice age exhibition and it was just a wooly mammoth in the corner. We were in and out in 15 mins. It took us longer than that to find a parking space (3 streets away)! My 4 year old was happy enough though

It was an amazing experience here. I visited with my children and they enjoyed the atmosphere and definitely l will take them again. The gallery and library in one place so if you get tired you can sit in the library and read news or use free computers with free Internet. They also have free Wi-Fi. The only thing that put me off is that it was very cold and there is no place to get a hot drink.

An underused little gem in the heart of Bilston, free admissionFabulous displays of local artifacts that are been missed by many, displays are changed regularly. When I visited there was a beautiful display of black and gold Japan ware some made by local people of the past.a trip down memory lane with the old bins and bedsteads, a reminder of the days the bin man would roll the steal bins down the street in the early hours of the morning. An interesting fossil collection on the upper floor.I'll be visiting again to see the new displays and I hope others visit too. If you don't use it, you loose it!

It is compact yet I believe that is an advantage in this case. One can then really take it all in and properly digest. I did enjoy the idea of placing older 19th century crafted pieces near contemporary examples. The special exhibits were fascinating as well and the space provided for these is top-notch. We caught the Raw Craft exhibit this time around. I am already thinking about making picture frames out of fallen branches... And the staff, let me tell you, above and beyond isn't superlative enough! This was an interesting look into local craft history that easily whiles away an afternoon. Time well spent. But keep a watch on Amber the Fire Breather, I think she gave my husband the eye!

A lovely little local museum which has a lot of community events. The toddler group is brilliant, no other toddler group like it. We went to the dinosaur fun day and had a lot of fun.
