The bartender was extremely rude to me, although I was very calm, just asking for a drink that I had at Caffè Nero before. He justified that they were short on staff and working there it is a hell every day. Man, I think you should consider changing your job for your mental health.

An excellent place to have a quick coffee at Edinburgh Waverley Station. The decor looks very tired and the seating is sparse and uncomfortable.

Had a quick cuppa here while waiting for our train on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a queue, we were served quickly and we managed to find a little table at the back which was clean. Great service from the friendly staff. Reasonably priced coffees for the location and compared to your other high street coffee vendors. Really enjoyed my Americano and my wife had a tasty latte with a kick. Didn't have anything to eat this visit, but there seemed to be a good selection of tasty snacks and treats available. Recommended for a quick cup of coffee as you're heading to or from your train. It probably could get busy during rush hour, but worth the wait.

Good cozy place to wait 20-30min before your train.Small high table for computers. I didn't see any sockets though.Coffe is good, but you might need to clesr your table yourself -used cups stay uncleared for long time. Sitting around small round tables still allows space for luggage.

Decent small branch of coffee shop chain. Handy when waiting for a train. Nice cakes and can even get lunches. Prices are OK for this sort of place. Can be busy at peak times.

Small but very friendly. Good coffee and a reasonable selection of pastries / treats. Nice place to sit while waiting for a train though it does get crowded at times.

I've always had consistently acceptable experiences at this Nero. Thank goodness! On the plus side; this is a fully stocked Nero, with a chunky range of food, including baked goods and I've never known it to be excluded from marketing offers. Railway locations sometimes are. Also on the plus side are the seats and window ledges as you can probably get a sit-down here. The cafe is just around the corner from the main hubbub of the Station. Even if it's busy in the central area, I'd still try here if I was keen. The coffee, of course, is your standard Nero which puts it above that green omnipresent franchise. On the negative side; I've been during peak time when there's only been one barista in sight. That's not even fair on staff. Even when there's two (there's rarely three) service can feel slow. The baristas here have no doubt been up since the wee hours and are low on energy.I've joined and abandoned the queue due to concerns about the time more than once. All in all; good if you're in a hurry but there are indie coffee places only a few minutes from the station.

Was here as I was transferring trains at Edinburgh Waverley. Was busy, but service was efficient and friendly. Got exactly what I ordered.

Service absolutely horrid, 2nd visit and same member or staff seems to have a severe attitude verging on angry. I work in hospitality and customer care is essential especially if you want people to return. The coffee as always is lovely. Usually visit argyle St branch and always very pleasant but won't be back to edinburgh Waverly
