Lovely atmosphere and amazing food. The Vegan apple crumble was exquisite. Perfect place to stop off before or after a trek.

The Buck inn is situated in Malham on the path 9f a few good walking routes. It's sn ideal place for a pub serving food & drinks. The food is good too, but. Because of the lack of staff this is It's downfall. The staff, all be it very helpful are pushed to provide a good service. On two occasions of visiting this place both times there has.been one staff member struggling to serve multiple customers. The restaurant is looking tired with a light hanging off of the wall with exposed cables in one area & an untidy/dirty beer garden. Real potential being missed here. It is hard to get good staff & the ones we met ate more than capable but need support.

We stayed over the road in a cottage so this was our “local”. Good vibe throughout the day with lots of patrons drinking and eating outside. We popped in for evening dinner after a long day walking. Food was excellent and service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommend the fish and chips and my son loved the hake supreme. Love it that they are a proper dog friendly establishment.

The food here is great, plenty of beverage choice, and the service is good. This could easily get a 5 star review if the radiators were on and the fires lit, as it was cold and wet outside and we wanted to come in and dry off with some hot food. This pub lacks the atmosphere that it's neighbour supplies. However it's a dog friendly pub and the service is again good so if you can't get in at the other pub then this place is a good alternative. A few small and affordable changes would make this pub much better.

We stayed for 2 nights the room was dated but very clean , it had really nice bedding and towels . Free parking but gets full . Breakfast was OK, with a small selection of continental and a choice of hot ,not the biggest portion but adequate. We did not eat here on an evening , people we spoke to felt it was OK. We found the staff very friendly although always busy , we drink cider and larger both nice also had a bottle or 2 of wine again OK. The main reason for coming here is for the walking, which puts this in a 10/10 location . The only negative and this is from a non dog friendly people was the wet dog smell we could smell on arrival, but it either wore off or we got used to it . Great place we will return .

Popped in for lunch and had a nice pub meal. The food was generous portions, great warm and cozy atmosphere, highly enjoyed ourselves. I really liked my creamy mushroom toast!

Had Sunday lunch here choosing steak and grilled chicken as our meals. The food itself was good once it arrived. The service was slow and we had to remind the waiter of what we had ordered. There was no flexibility around the menu so you couldn't swap vegetables for a salad which meant wasting food since there were too many chips between the 2 of us.

Says it opens at twelve but it was open at half one. We went in after seeing it was now open.It was cold and dark inside which you could also describe the bar man with those words. We asked if they were serving food which he just said yes. He didn't ask us where we wanted to sit or even give us a menu. There were also no menus at the tables so we walked out and went to the Victoria inn at Kirby Malham instead where the service was much better and the food was tasty.
