Tankerton Bakery

Super little independent family bakery that we look forward to visiting every Saturday morning as an after Parkrun treat. Friendly staff and delicious cakes and rolls. We are always so pleased with how much stuff we can get for our money too :)

This is such a lovely and friendly little bakery with some tasty traditional bakes. The iced finger alone has taken me back to mid morning break at secondary school c.1986. Happy days! And the fresh rolls are so tasty. Yeasty and yummly. A baker’s life isn’t a simple 9-5. So thank you.

Lovely fresh bread etc. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Downside is £2.30 for a roll with good though sparse filling. .

The temptation to selfishly give this incredible spot a low rating, in a futile bid to stem the flow of delicious baked goods from leaving the door first thing is overwhelming. The secret is already out though. A superb bakery. As already eluded to, get there early! The shelves empty fast.

Lovely artisan bakery. Well the visit. Hard to come by. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cornish pasties, cheese bacon and tomato puffs, hot sausage rolls and beautiful crusty rolls . You just can not buy these anywhere else. My family had them for our lunch today and they went down a real treat. Will definitely go back. Thank you!

The closing of Dunne's Bakery was a big blow to those of us with a sweet tooth in Tankerton (shout-out to Quite Contrary though for its excellent cakes). So seeing this new, smallish bakery smack in the hart of town gave me reason for hope, especially as it reportedly has connections to the aforesaid and much-missed Dunne's. It did not disappoint; in fact, it has exceeded my expectations. We've had the Chelsea Bun - light, with just the right combination of cinnamon) -- and probably the best pasty I have ever had, full of good-quality meat and vegetables. The sausage role was also delicious, piping hot from the oven, and liked the rock bun as well. Staff is very pleasant and welcoming; it's great to see that the pasties, etc, are cooked on site. I see they also have rolls and sandwiches that people grab for lunch. From the lines I've seen in passing, it's clear I'm not the only one who thinks Tankerton has a welcome new addition.

Lovely little bakery.Visited today and was very impressed with this cute little bakery. The 2 young girls serving were very polite and very helpful. Gypsy tart was lovely and the bread is amazing. Will definitely go back when in the area again.

Well worth a visit Rolls,Bread and cakes are delicious all freshly made, to make sure you get what you want ring and book.
