Impromptu visit whilst stopping in the area. Lovely market town, with amazing views and atmosphere that you just don't see very often in town centres anymore. The museum is a great place to visit to learn more about the area and it's rich history. One extra to do is the rooftop, where the views are amazing. Staff were friendly and really informative.

Great staff and volunteers, with a lovely array of exhibitions and artifacts from our wonderful town. Also the central place for the bun throwing!

Free entry. The museum is on 3 levels with a roof terrace giving panoramic views over Abingdon. Helpful staff on hand. There are toilets here and a small gift shop. The exhibits are mostly local artefacts spanning Neolithic to modern finds. Good place to bring the kids - will keep them interested for about 30 mins. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Abingdon.

It's a small and curious museum over 2 floors and a visit with a paid entry to the terrace with nice views of Abingdon makes it complete. I would recommend it if you are in the area and have an hour to spend, however consider other bigger museums if you are looking to spend a day.

Very interesting and worthwhile for such a small building. Full of very ancient history and built on a very historic spot. Be aware that most display cases also contain drawers that can be opened by visitors and contain fascinating items dating back centuries if not millenia. There is a café on top floor giving access to a rooftop viewing area.

The tradition of bun throwing in Abingdon is known as the Abingdon Bun Throwing" and has a long history dating back to the 17th century. This unique event occurs infrequently and is usually associated with special events or holidays. What is this interesting tradition all about? The Abingdon Bun Throwing is held exclusively during significant events for the country related to the royal family. A large number of buns

Brilliant building, with a lot of artifacts on a couple of floors. The building itself is gorgeous too, so worth a visit, and go up to the roof for some really nice views.
