It's like stepping back in time the area hasn't changed since my mum was a child ( she's 91) Simonburn has been used for lots of films and it's perfect for peace and quiet. The tearoom has a large garden well worth a visit lovely staff roaring fire as it was cool yesterday.

I don't know why this is rated 2 stars. It seemed everything is OK for 3. The room is nice and spacious, service is great, breakfast is good, dinner service is good. Location in the pittoresque village of Simonsburn is great.

Really nice little tea rooms, out the way in lovely surroundings. Outdoor eating area there also. Prices weren't excessive, food was nice and fresh and staff were friendly. Only gripe was when I ordered the scone with cream the cream was from a can.

Stunning location but service and products were not so great.We were invited to sit inside as it was chilly out. I sat in a room off to one side and was told someone would come and serve. However I waited and waited. The room emptied of other customers and I was still waiting. A grumpy young lass finally came and took our order after a chap walked in and was surprised ro see us sat there. When our order came it was only half there. I sat and watched my husband eat expecting mine any time soon. Eventually I gave up and went and chased it.It wasn't so busy so I don't know what went wrong. The young lady serving really didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I had to laugh at a sign on the wall saying service with a smile. We didn't get one. Food was ok.May go again for location as it is lovely spot.

Splendid tranquil relaxing garden setting. Tasty food at decent prices. Cakes we had for dessert were especially good. Service was speedy and staff helpful. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful spot in the country, worth the drive out especially on a sunny day as you can sit out in the garden. Enjoyed coffee and cake on this visit, will be back for food next time. Great service and friendly locals.
