Marple Post Office

The best post office! I am a regular here and all the staff are just freindly, proffesional and smiley! Always excellent service.

The place has gone downhill since the staff change over. The guy at the counter said the parcel tube is classed as a large parcel because the tube is 61cm, but it's a medium parcel because the tube can go up to 104cm. The new woman even came over and told the guy at the counter that it's a large parcel. Then the phone rang and he picked it up and started chatting for 10 minutes! I even went on the royal mail website for parcel sizes after he got off the phone and showed him. He got his sheet of sizes and said this was updated this year.There was no one behind me, but while he was on the phone the queue started building to the door..Make sure you check sizes and prices before you go in!

First class service! The 2 staff went the extra mile to assist when post office closed and retail shop open to provide international driving licence with attention to detail and most empathic to customer worries. Thank you so much would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately, due to the lack of banking facilities now in Marple I have needed to use this post office more recently.It is quite confusing where to go to be served as sometimes you queue for the main post office counter and are commanded to use the front shop counter and sometimes are ordered to do the opposite.

What’s happened to this post office! Went in today and asked if a small parcel could be sent next day delivery. No prohibited items in the parcel and was told only parcel force could offer next day. What’s happened to special delivery?, I asked. I was then told only PF could offer this. Then asked for the stamps large letter to EU 25grams I was told that I would need to bring the card in to post it, otherwise it’ll cost £4.40!! Took my business to alternative PO who offered special deliver next day and purchased a stamp for £3.20 large letter EU. Come on Marple PO…more product training required!!

I was in a panic at 5 pm one evening, and yet the very busy Post office counter staff, and the postman collecting the day's work, still found time to advise me about express delivery. A family crisis was averted when house keys were delivered to Bournemouth by 8 :30 next morning. So very grateful. Thank you to all Post Office deliveries and counter staff.

Called in today to renew our passports. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The staff were all knowledgeable and the gentleman who served us made it very simple for us throughout the process. First-class service!

Been to post a parcel today a standard one weighing under 2kg the cost should of been £3.35 the guy behind the counter tried to charge me over £5 after explaining to him that it was wrong what he was saying he just stood there arguing there was loads of people in the queue so embarrassing if he was not sure he could of asked for help as there was 2 other members of staff in that shop I eventually went to compstall post office and they charged me the correct amount just be careful when posting or you could loose out on your money

Way understaffed. Slow, big queues all the time. 25 min wait today. Only one guy at the parcels and 11 in the queue. Sort yourselves out.

Rudest staff I've ever met in my life. Do not leave drop and go with them because they overcharge your account and completely rip you off. When discussed urgent special delivery items they made promises to ship that day and that I could leave with them, then didn't bother sending, losing my small business a large amount of money. They didn't want to know when I told them I was disappointed and when I've called up the man that answered just said don't bother calling I'm too busy and hung up. Avoid this place like the plague if you want any kind of good customer service.
