I saw Heidi's work with reclaimed wood as show peices in the showrooms at Blackstone-Chalk and was amazed at the creative use of stunningly beautiful old wood.I have not been able to resist a variety of her mirrors and picture frames - and a range of her candle holders which combine the raw beauty of the wood with a subtle sophystication that makes them look just as good in a modern apartment as my weekend cottage.Heidi is really skilled at getting the best out of each peice of wood she is working with - and has been fantastic at finding just the right combinations (I wanted three mirrors that fitted well together in a single room - without necessarily being identical, and she was able to make me three from the same wood which have come out perfectly - and even matched them with a centerpiece candle holder she made specially to complement them).All the items at Rusticana are unique, and fantastic quality especially given they are from reclaimed materials - and buying direct I got really good prices.Excellent quality, design and value.

I bought a big mirror made from reclaimed elm wood. It is beautiful and totally unique. I have also bought personalised wedding gifts for friends and they have loved them. Been looking for a quality unique frame to compliment a very old wedding photo of my parents. Looked at many and settled with Rusticana interiors and best move I made. Heidi the owner showed me many frames nothing was to much trouble and the quality of the frame and workmanship is top notch. Wanted something very special for our son's wedding - Heidi had just the plan. Using 500yr old Elm from a monastery barn, she would create us a bespoke mirror. The Elm was really quite fragile on the surface but her recommended traditional wood carver Sarah Goss was up to the challenge.The result was exactly as we had hoped; an absolutely unique gift, subtly engraved with an artistic personal acknowledgement of the occasion.
