Recycling Centre
Whilst there are better holiday destinations it is a great place to visit for getting rid of household waste. Helpful staff. No charges either in contrast to a seemingly increasing number of other tips. Be cautious of Google's opening times listing as they don't support seasonal variations which apply at this tip (e.g. closed Thurs+Fri over winter but only Thurs in the summer). I've uploaded a photo showing the correct times (as of May '23 at least).

Visited Staunton recycling today, once more Simon helped me with my waste. He was helpful and polite, and more than willing to help. The site was clean and well organised.

Bit more traffic at the centre this morning but to be expected on a Saturday. Still moved very quickly due to efficient, friendly and very helpful staff.

Mid week visit whilst the weather isn't favourable ensures easy access with no queuing. Bins are clearly labelled with staff on hand to advise on correct disposal bin. Yard area was clean and free from debris.Can be busy certain times resulting in queuing on the road outside which is a 60mph limit and near a busy truck stop.

I have been sorting through my parents’ house since April 2021.I have visited Stanton Recycling Centre, near Chippenham many times since then.I have found all the staff very helpful and informative.They have made this busy time in trying to recycle as much stuff as possible a much easierand pleasant experience.Excellent staff.5 stars. Many thanks for all your work and best wishes for 2022.

Great team on site always helpful and willing to advise.Check Wiltshire Council for site times as Google’s aren’t always correct eg in summer times are different to Winter.

Unhelpful surly staff. Lots of older people struggling up steps lugging their stuff, struggling to get it over into the big containers while staff lean on brooms, wandering around drinking tea and joking with each other. It wouldn't hurt for staff to help.
