Lowick Village Store

This little treasure trove sells a host of local products as well as essentials. Popular with locals (always a good sign in my opinion)not just for necessities like milk, toilet rolls, Papers and magazines etc, but lunch items homemade baked and produced goods. An absolute must to visit, very friendly owners who provide an essential service for reasonably priced ‘forgotten’ or ‘run out of’ items . homemade baked items - try the delicious homemade quiches (different flavours all good) if you can get there in time (it sells out quickly). Likewise THE best Border Tart I have tasted. Also filled rolls fabulous value for money well filled local rolls they use homegrown e.g. tomatoes, lettuce etc when in season and you can tell the difference.

Lovely local products such as ham, jam, honey and a variety of delicious home made quiches every day as well as pies salads, freshly made sandwiches and cakes.Plus Doddington Dairy cheeses, biscuits, ice creams and goats cheese made close by. Very friendly service.

Love this place. Owners are super-friendly and chatty as well. We stayed in one of the cottages nearby and went to buy some bits almost everyday. They were nice and always gave us their recommendations. This place has a decent selection of food ranging from crisps to pasta sauces. They have a lovely magazine section.
