The Park Bistro
Not a big fan of, to be honest, I popped in there hoping to get some ice-cream for my little one. There were just a few options of ice lollies.We got a latte and a flat white. Quite moderate. Seats were mostly taken, but there were benches nearby to use. The carrot cake was good a bit on dry side and so sweet, the Victoria sponge not so exciting.I guess this cafe is more of grab something simple if you have to, otherwise a good place to just seat for a regular coffee.

I've given this 1 star not because of the Bistro as the service is excellent and staff are friendly. It's because soon we will not have the 3 hour free parking at memorial park, the council have to save money and one way is carparks. So saddly i will not be visiting this lovely park

Lovely bunch of ladies serving up drinks and food ...we have the carrot and pistachio cake that's juicy and tasty .. we may have to try out a cooked breakfast as they do look good ...

Staff really friendly and helpful, flat white and cappuccino nice. Sausage sandwich nearly £6 and appalling. Bread cheap and stale, sausage average/cheap, overall not to be repeated. Over priced for the quality compared to other places. Good place for coffees though x

Absolutely love this little place, staff are amazing and busy which they still make you feel like you’re their top priority. Plenty of seating areas however a few umbrellas over the tables would help customers out during our small window of great weather.

The Park Bistro
Stopped in for a quick drink on a fresh autumnal day. It was very busy with some seats available. We were served quickly whilst some of our party found a table.The staff were pleasant and courteous and dealt with our order promptly.The cafe is situated in the lovely war memorial park which is clean and tidy with no rubbish around the park which is nice.Sadly the only unfortunate points were the last available table we found was dirty, with brown sauce on, we cleaned it and the rear of the kitchen had a huge pile of rubbish awaiting to go to the tip I imagine as it was in a cart. It wasnt smelly but it was unsightly and spoiled an otherwise lovely view.

After waiting in a queue for ten minutes my order for food was taken then they decided to close the kitchen as the chef wanted to go home so no more hot food. It's the middle of the school holidays and a lovely day so why would you want to close early? Then to add insult it took 20 mins to make a latte. This place is already over priced for what is being served. Most of the staff didn't seem too interested in customer experience but I don't blame the individuals but would question what quality of leadership and training they have. If you're lucky it might work for you but it could be a bit hit and miss.

Great coffee! Staff were friendly and food order out quickly. Good menu and a pre-packaged gluten free cake option. Cake pictured is a carrot cake. Ate mine before it could be memorialised.
