When I returned as a volunteer at the brain charity in Feb 2022 I was welcomed back with open arms I couldn't get over how appreciated it made me feel when it was announced that I would be having a second stint as a volunteer at a charity that did so much when I initially attended in 2012 when I needed to turn a corner I don't think I would have got the welcome back that I received when I walked in the door of the charity like I would have done anywhere else the brain charity to me is a very special place with very special memories I love doing my volunteering with the brain charity and I hope to be there for many years to come as it's family to me

What a wonderful place and location! Our group needed a central location and the Brain Charity provide this as well as being on busy bus and train routes and close to motorways and the Mersey tunnel. I had been trying to get disability benefits for 35 years. I have a rare hereditary neurological condition. Last year when I finally had my diagnosis in April I applied for PIP . They gave me zero on everything. But thanks to the Roxy she organised a solicitor to fight the decision. Suzanne has been amazing and worked very hard on my behalf. Yesterday Emma was with me as support from the Brain Charity .The tribunal where very kind as I was very anxious. But having Emma by my side helped me. I am very happy to say that the tribunal awarded me enhanced for both parts of PIP.I couldn't have finally got disability benefits without the Brain Charity. They are amazing and go above and beyond to help those of us who need there help.I am now 65 and last year finally having my diagnosis has changed my life . I can't thank my neurologist at the Walton Centre enough. I am no longer weird but have HPX and in contact with others who has this rare hereditary neurological condition all over the world.Never be frightened to ask the Brain Charity for help and support as they will not turn you away and do everything in there power to help .

I would like to say how pleased I was that I spoke with Jamie today at the walton Centre after I had infusion treatment on Sherrington day ward.I try to be as positive as i can dealing with chronic illnesses but she was so easy to talk with and so understanding. It helped me no end.Many thanks to Jamie.

My experience of the Brain Charity is of a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are always willing to help. In our recent patient education course that run over three weeks everything went smoothly and both attendees and speakers were supported. I would recommend the Brain Charity as a place to source information and as a good location to host an event.

Absolutely amazing charity that really goes out of its way to help neurodiverse people, like me with my ADHD and Autism. They really understand these conditions (& many many more) and are so supportive & helpful, I really do appreciate the help I've received from them this year and just wish I'd found them sooner!

Went in 2 weeks ago to speak to someone about help regarding benefits advice and help on a pip appeal. Was told someone had to call me back because noone was available. I was ok with that, so left my number. Still not had a call back yet
