Birchwood Kennels and Cattery

Used these in March 2022 on the recommendation of a friend and so glad we used them, lovely staff and our Ollie was very happy there.

Dog loves it. Very accommodating to dogs needs. Had travel plans disrupted , they rearranged the dogs stay , at no extra charge.

Went to look round with a view to boarding our dog for a few days. I was told my dog might not get out into the exercise run especially if the staff were too busy……therefore my dog might not have got out of his kennel the whole weekend. Staff didn’t seem to care when I expressed my horror at that and had a “take it or leave it” attitude. Will not ever take my dog here. Have since gone to Ivy Kennels who were amazing and also don’t charge you for the day if you pick up your dog before 10am - unlike this lot who still charge 50% more.

First time we used this cattery, nice setup all rooms have lots of space and really clean.

Following a last minute change of circumstances we had to put our two dogs into Birchwood kennels. As our dogs have never stayed anywhere other than our home and one of them is nervous we was very apprehensive about leaving them. The staff at birchwood was brilliant, sent us updates about their stay and even allowed my parents to call in and check on them! Upon collecting the dogs they just wanted to go into the ‘pasture’ on site to play.Thank you for looking after our dogs!

Excellent service, very friendly and they look after your dogs really well sending frequent pupdates!

I went to have a look around , i did not need an appointment. The staff were very pleasant and gladly showed me around. The facilities are excellent , they were very clean and the kennels were nice and cool .I booked my dog in for 9 days , June/July. I was worried about leaving him but didn't need to be. I received a video and photos of him and he looked very happy and well cared for . I would highly recommend them and will be booking there again. Many thanks to all the staff.

We drop my Cat Fuzzy off at this cattary whilst we was away for my wedding in chester last weekend. The place is very big, private and the cats have there own pod with a window and a radiator in there to keep him warm. The staff are very nice and we got an update of Fuzzy as they was a little concerned he hadn't been for a number 2 for a few days. We hardly leave him as he's a indoor cat but for this occasion we didn't have another option but soon as we picked him up he was back to his normal self once we was back home. I know its hard having to look after a new cat and more so for Fuzzy being away from us but I believe having him at birchwood was the best thing I could do in that situation. Thanks again for looking after my Fuzzy.
