The queue can be out the door at busy times.The owners are very nice to talk to if you strike up a conversation with them. Parking can be a bit of a hassle as spaces are limited because there are several other food outlets, pizza, Chinese (I have reviewed this one), Indian restaurant/takeaway that share the free parking.Reasonable prices. I like their chips.

The family have been getting our Fish and Chips from the Ocean Garden for as long as we can remember the fish is always cooked fresh and tasty and the couple who run it are very friendly helpful and always ask how the family are,My opinion the number one fish and chips shop in Tilehurst

My husband and I have not had fish and chips for a long time. We always use to go to Ocean Gardens and decided yesterday to treat ourselves to lunch. We went back to Ocean Gardens. My husband was greeted back like an old friend. The fish and chips were amazing! All cooked fresh, so piping hot and the most crispy, golden batter! Yum, yum, yum!!One of the best fish and chips in the south of England. See you soon!

We've been on the hunt for a nice meaty battered fish in the area for a while but never tried Ocean Garden. It's very good and probably the best in Tilehurst. It's a small chippy but very popular. Visited during COVID and had to queue outside and then discovered it's cash only when I got to order. But my order was taken and I had time to get cash from a ATM whilst the food was freshly cooked. As it freshly cooked it's nice and hot, the portion size is pretty big and the food is delicious. Recommended.

Great chippy!! Food is outstanding.Portion sizes are generous and the staff are friendly and welcoming.Always look forward to supper from here.
