I think this is the worst lunch experience I have ever had and I it could be so different. Staff are friendly but food and menu is extremely poor. I asked for a pot of tea and received a T-bag in a mug.

It was always a family favourite when I was growing up so It was really nice to see it busy again. The service was quick and the food was amazing. The staff are super friendly and all smiles. Next time I think we will have to sample the wine collection. All the very best to the new owners, it's a cracking place.

We called in for a [recommended] all day breakfast lunch.I had mixed feelings about it here.To start, the food was good, nothing to rave about but it was enjoyable and plentiful. Cappuccino was ok but a little bland for my taste. The cutlery was dreadful and I actually had to check I wasn't using my knife upside down as it cut into my hand so badly. It was so thin and flimsy. My hands hurt at the end of the meal. No joke and I'm not elderly.Whilst the 1930s decor is lovely, some parts were very tired and scruffy especially the loos downstairs. Not sure if there's a disabled loo upstairs.Service was meh ... we didn't get or see a single smile from staff ... I tried chatting to two staff members and got a huff back from both. Rude.I don't think we'll be returning. There's plenty of other cafes in Preston to choose from.Follow up .... We decided to give it another go .... once again the food was good and the atmosphere was a little better. The cutlery is still shockingly bad. Seriously, my fingers were so sore after my meal.

10+ years ago I would buy a hot chocolate and toast from here every morning when I worked in the city centre. I very rarely go into the centre anymore as I have little need too and Preston city centre is full of the walking dead but I had too yesterday so thought I would treat myself to a cappuccino and full English here. The inside of the cafe is very cool and the decor is like something from the 1930’s. No complaints on the service as it was pleasant and the food came within 10 minutes of ordering.Sadly this is where my praise ends as the food and cappuccino was poor. The bacon really fatty, sausages low quality, the toast was cold and strangely squashed flat and the scrambled egg had no taste with a texture like it had been microwaved. I think this because I can’t cook for toffee but when I do make scrambled egg…I microwave it. Shame really as if the food was decent, then it would have been worth risking your life visiting regularly despite all the scum bag, low life’s littered around Fishergate. The picture taken is what I left :(

It's a beautiful restaurant, with original glass stains from 1932. Great customer service. Delicious food at a good price. When you go there, say hello to Gail:)

I came very early this time; pre-9am. They were open but only just. I had tea and a bacon barm. No complaints about either. The bacon barm was delicious and highly recommended and the tea was Twinnings, so quite acceptable. When I normally attend the place is packed and vibrant, do bear in mind the photo are not representative of the normal atmosphere. Brucciani's is a Preston institution. I remember coming here as a child over 50 years ago. It has changed somewhat since then; bigger, with more interesting decor and far less smoky! For years they've had an array of hundreds of photos of famous folk on the walls and it is great to walk around and try your luck! This place harks back to a bygone time before McDs, Café Nero, Starbucks & Costa. A far better experience in my opinion. Long may it remain. They still sell hot vimto and ice cream drinks. Bring the kids. Give them a true & delicious taste of the past. Make some memories.

Went in today for lunch, and it's come on so much since the new owners took over. It was very busy but we still had amazing service and food arrive quickly and piping hot. I honestly could not fault a thing about it!! Will definitely be visiting again soon!!!

Fabulous cafe, like taking a step back in time... would highly recommend. Great service and a mug of tea and a hot buttered teacake just the thing to start the day and only a 5min walk from Preston train station.

Favourite cafe in Preston! Used to come here as a child with my grandma! The decor is beautiful and takes you back in time! The food is lovely and the staff are so nice. My daughter loves it here and definitely recommends the milkshakes!
