Hollywood Nails

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but after going to Hollywood nails over the weekend I have to give a honest review.I have been going adhoc on off for a few years, the service has always not been great, but when I went recently the main lady possibly owner was extremely rude to the point I wanted to walk out but they had already started, so aggressive in the way she spoke, she didn’t even let me pick my colours properly and rushed me literally shouting. Honesty I would NEVER EVER go here again, she drilled my nails so hard my nail beds physically hurt literally pulling at my hands, I’m seriously surprised that they have any customers considering how they speak to them, there are quite a few other nail salons locally that are cheaper and offer a way better service. So many customers have complained about her but doesn’t seem to care.

I honestly wish I could give less than one star. I went to this place once and the staff were extremely rude, rushing me to pick a colour and pulling my hands about everywhere quite roughly. The woman who did my nails even stood there holding her hand out for the money before I had even had my nails done. I will not be going back there. If you want a good set of nails and staff that are nice and talk to you, go to Eden nails in urmston.

I knew what to expect when I walked in. I was fine with no small talk, no offer of a drink and I anticipated rude technicians. I've been to walk in nail bars like this in Australia several times and the service is the same. However in Australia the quality of work was exceptional. The same cannot be said of Hollywood Nails. The gel finish has scratch like file marks all over my nails. The shape of my nails are all irregular and the application is very thick too. The person doing my nails was flitting between three clients, including myself at the same time. The place smells so strongly of nail gel and acetone and the seating ergonomics are uncomfortable. Of higher concern was the extent to which my nail bed was buffed with the electric drill, at a few times my nails were in pain. Don't visit - even if you are desperate!

GF came in for nails, was told £20 at first, then a £30 price was mentioned in salon- before being told the end result was costing £50. This is actually theft and false advertising, and Trading Standards have been informed. Anyone else with similar experiences please also do the same. Avoid this place, if you don’t you’ll be sorry…

Since moving to the area I’d struggled to find somewhere that would do that style of nails I normally have. Stumbled upon this place and now I will never go anywhere else. Kim the owner is crazy in a good way! She will tell you the most hilarious stories and have you in stitches while your nails are drying. They will always try and fit you in and if you do take the chance of a walk in, of course you’ll have to wait. If you don’t want to wait… make an appointment. Never had an issue here.

Absolutely appalling, DO NOT GO HERE! The staff are so rude, they didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked in. The guy doing my nails was so rough, it was very uncomfortable. I got charged £42 for a set of simple French acrylics which I personally think is ridiculous. The women who owns the salon was on the phone the whole time (loud speaker) and shouting. This was not a relaxing experience. Go somewhere else!

I normally go to Hollywood nails to get my nails removed and or get gel. The gel pedicure always lasts 6 weeks before it starts chipping and this is one of the last places I've found that actually has reasonable prices. Whenever I do get my biab/gel removed my nails afterwards aren't in such a bad shape compared to other places where they soak in acetone to the point nails become brittle

shocking! when i moved my hand very slightly, she smacked it! this happened several times. the lady also decided to pick at the acrylic that wasn’t removing quick enough with her own nails causing pain and shredding my own nail underneath. the nails are wonky, uneven and have horrible thick acrylic overspill underneath and at the sides.

Disappointing. Rude staff. The woman I think the owner argued she took shellac off my toe nails when I know full well it was regular polish as I painted them myself. The only saving Grace was the lady who painted them was nice, quiet but nice but I will not be back

If you like a chat whilst having your nails done then this isn't the place for you (unless u take a friend). My daughter and I love going here because the staff are quick, it's reasonably priced and they know what they are doing and personally I like not having to make small talk with strangers. They do chat amongst themselves and why not? They shouldn't have to sit in silence because English isnt their first language! I agree English isn't their greatest strength however they always do a great job on mine and my daughters nails and I would recommend them to anyone.
