Maria King Childminder

My son has been with maria for nearly 2 years now, she is caring, keeps him active and his is now learning phonics and spelling his name 8months before he goes to school in September...during the holidays maria also organises fun trips to watch live shows and regularly takes im to parks or libraries...if anyone is looking for a personable and caring childminder with lots of experience go to maria

I would recommend Maria to everyone, my little one loves his time with her and when i collect him he really feels like part of the family. I really couldn't ask for any more for him that this. Since he has been going to her, I have seen so much development both physically and mentally. I am so glad that we found her, knowing that he is well looked after has made my return to work much easier

I found Maria through doing an online research of Childminders near me, and after reading through the amazing reviews, I decided to contact her and put my child in her care.The reviews are absolutely spot on, she was very professional and she took care of my son with love. My son settled very quickly at Maria’s place and love going there, he usually gets grumpy in the morning when I wake him up but after mentioning that he’s going to Maria’s, he would be excited and starts to be in a good mood. My son’s communication skills is not the greatest at 2, however after going to Maria’s place, I noticed an improvement as he can express more of what he wants rather than throwing a tantrum. Maria also send lots of pictures throughout the day of what my son has been up to for the day and gives me an insight of what he likes to do and the activities he does there. I highly recommend Maria, your kids will love her and they will have a lovely time with Maria.

I found Maria when every childcare turned me down. My daughter Doreen absolutely loved her even more than me & even her partner both are very welcoming to me and my daughter. Maria has been looking after our daughter 5 days a week for the past 8 months, since our daughter was 1 and a half year old. I initially wanted my daughter to join a nursery rather than a childminder, but as I knew Maria was available at the time I decided to go meet with her. From the beginning, I found her to be a very warm, caring person and very professional. So even when our daughter was offered the preferred nursery place, our decision was that Maria should look after her. And, 8 months onwards, I think this was the best decision. Maria is caring, friendly and has made sure our daughter was happy and settled every time we dropped her off. Our daughter loves it there and she sometimes asks to go to “Mina” even on her days off. Maria provides a large variety of activities and playgroups/ play dates for the children. She set a great routine for our daughter, even getting her into an afternoon nap routine which I deemed impossible before! The children have daily activities like story time and learning time. At our daughter’s 2 year check the health visitor commented on how her vocabulary, speech and confidence in play are so good and we agreed that Maria’s involvement has been essential.Maria has been so thoughtful in acknowledging special days like birthdays and included us in her family celebrations, making all of us feel welcome. She keeps us updated on a daily basis and even sends us photos and lovely messages about our daughter throughout the day which is so lovely and reassuring for a parent.I very much recommend Maria to anyone looking for childcare.A

If you want your child to be looked after by someone who has your childs best interest at heart, treats your child as if their own and ensures your child develops both mentally and physically through daily play and activities then Maria is THE person to go to! My 16 month old son has excelled in his social skills, his walking and his overall development considerably whilst being with Maria these past 6 months and she is always asking how we, the parents, are doing too and is an asset to our family. She is kind, caring, giving and dedicated to the care of children she looks after and my son gets so excited as soon as he see's her front door, he knows he has a good day to come!

Over the last 2.5 years Maria has been like an extension of our family. Our little boy loves visiting Maria, who is very accommodating of his additional needs. We have really seen him develop his skills and and overcome challenges with Maria's help. Maria's home has a very welcoming atmosphere and is set up perfectly for young children of all ages at all times of year.

We always knew that we wanted a childminder to look after our precious little boy instead of a nursery as it's a smaller and a more intimate setting that would allow him to thrive. After comparing various options, we had a gut feeling to go with Maria. This was the most crucial and best decision we have made, and to this day we always feel so fortunate to have found Maria and that she has a place for our son. Our son has been in Maria's care since he was 7 months old - he settled in very well under her care (within a week) and is now 14 months. She is kind, caring and treat our son with a lot of love. Maria has a strong passion for children - she keeps in touch with us during the day, sends us photos frequently, and at the end of the day we get a detailed daily summary from her which shows what our little boy has been up to for the day. Maria's setting is lovely, with numerous toys enough to keep our son entertained. We love Maria to bits, and can't recommend her enough to all the parents out there seeking for a safe and loving environment for their children. Thank you Maria for being amazing.

Maria was recommended to us and we are so glad she was. Our little boy loves going to Maria’s - he gets a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor activities including Forest School.we always get a great overview of what he’s done each day and Maria works very closely with us to identify what we can do to aid his development. She clearly loves kids and it’s evident - he always comes home happy and bubbling about what he’s been up to. We are incredibly lucky that he has a place with her - he gets more 1-2-1 than a nursery but more interaction with other kids than with a nanny. As if all this wasn’t enough she’s bi-lingual as well and has really helped us embed Portuguese in to his daily life outside our home.I can’t recommend her enough, she’s been integral, this year, particularly to helping us raise a polite, well-behaved, well-adjusted child and I couldn’t thank her enough for that.
