Had a short stay here and what can I say. First of all once registered at A and E I waited 5 minutes before being taken to the correct department which was amazing. Once in the department received treatment but had to stay. I did have to wait several hours for a bed but was grateful. The staff were brilliant a mixture of old and new staff. Did take hours for pain relief and thank god I did have some with me. Lorraine the lady who gave out food was fabulous. She was upbeat and funny so got a good laugh. The only downside was dried blood on the floor and a red spray mark on the ceiling. The staff did clean dried blood off the floor.

Had a 12 day stay in Monklands hospital a couple of weeks ago most of it spent in ward 7 I can’t praise all of the staff enough in this ward everyone was so nice and did an excellent job for example if you had to press the buzzer someone came to your aid straight away which can’t be easy for them thanks again to all the staff for making my stay as pleasant as possible

After an operation on my hand needed assistance from a hand therapist, luckily got Ms DH, an expert in her field, well regarded by her peers and a pleasure to be with. A credit to the NHS

Chase everything up if you’re dealing with this hospital. Horrific communication, letters not being sent, MRIs not being ordered, referrals being lost, incorrect labelling of bloods resulting in delays. And it’s not an insignificant condition I am trying to have sorted. If you simply assume that they won’t do what they said that’s probably the wisest mindset. I’m about to spend money on a private MRI in order to get surgery in 4 weeks.

Attended monklands hospital for chest pains I have had for months. Yes I waited few hours but it was clear it wasn't life threatening. Final got seen and was taking care of perfectly. Ecg done in minutes. Then xray was done. And also bloods. Although I was sent home without diagnosis. Was still satisfied with the place and staff. Still have the chest pains right enough but the service was on point in here.

This Hospital is A Disgrace. Waited 14month for An appointment for my uncle who is ready to give up due to pain.Appointment came in was told 12weeks, this did not HAPPEN.Was then to go for Pre Assessment attended via Ambulance transport ( they guys know there job)Was treated with no Care at all. No Empathy!Fast forward He was then taking into hospital again Due to pain still no Operation but told he was ready to go home, Gave him a Zimmer frame Taxi called. If I never stepped in he would be Dead.Eventually a OP appointment came in. By this time my uncle is terrified to go back to this hospital next day phone call told Mr Sharriff" the surgeon was on emergency so it got canceled.Uncle has lost mobility due to a giant hernia & constant painNow we get to 21/9/23 here we are again ... Time for OP get him up to hospital all gowned up he is very scared been off his blood thinners for 7 days

My son & I arrived at 11.15pm with progressively worsening sore rashy skin. He was seen at 11.45 by fabulous Nurses Donna & Derek, given IV medication by Dr Ewan Hamilton who was great with us & discharged healthy by 2.15pm. So impressed at the swift, caring & fabulously professional service. Thanking you all so very much.

Following a recent referral to see Mr Ian Macleod at orthopaedic clinic I need to review the exceptional level of service I received deriving from my podiatrist referral to booking in to see Mr Macleod any Monklands Orthopaedic outpatients. I was emailed my referral a week before the appointment . From arrival at orthopaedics I was treated efficiently and professionally by every member of nhs staff I needed to see .Mr MacLeod explained exactly what was wrong and immediately offered to deal with the matter same day at his clinic. The meeting was short, sharp, efficient and so helpful for me . His teams reassurance and presence was so much appreciated as I was extremely nervous. Extremely grateful to be seen there and thankful for the outcomeThankyou
