We needed a mantle / beam to go above our fireplace, we already had another fireplace in the same room with an antique oak beam above it so we hoped we could get something similar to match.After looking on the internet we stumbled across this company who as luck would have it we’re just along the road from us.The end product we received was absolutely perfect, not only matched our other mantle but was perfectly cut to size , full of character, and already waxed and chamfered.Not only was the beam perfect they even give you the fixing resin to attach itTo the brickwork included in the price.Rachel who we dealt with from start to finish could not have been more helpful.I would strongly recommend this company for any timber product.

Spoke to a lot of wood companies after some oak for a feature stairs and mantle place. Kept coming back to Oakfield as they were just helpful and patient and friendly to talk to.Didn't mind going to some effort to get pictures of the wood for me and were understanding and easy to work with when I had to cancel part of the order due to my builders.I'm happy and would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic company! So very helpful and friendly at all times. We were so pleased with our beautiful beams - all cut to order and in its natural state ( as we had requested.) We are yet to install so pics shall follow. We highly recommend Oakfield Beams, they are reliable, efficient and excellent at creating bespoke beams.

Super super helpful; we went in person and we were able to choose a beautiful piece of oak there and then for our new mantel and the owner/manager of Oakfield cut it to size. There are all sorts finishes and sizes there to choose from. We are really thrilled with the one we chose. The service there is brilliant, very friendly and gave advice on sizing etc - we would thoroughly recommend.

A pleasure to work with! Rachel was fast to reply to all questions I had, and they offer a fair price without trying it on, which I experienced with other companies. I bought an oak beam (2m, 7in x 9in) which was delivered on time without issues. There was some woodworm on the beam, but remember that this is natural and the beams are treated beforehand. I mentioned this to Rachel and she quickly sent some woodworm treatment which we applied to put our minds at ease. Once all building work is done I'll try to remember to add a photo!
