About the Business

St Non's Chapel | Cadw | Reputed birthplace of Wales’s patron saint in uplifting location Though all that remains of St Non’s Chapel is a few crumbling walls of uncertain date, it is nevertheless a significant holy and cultural site. Its location, on the edge of Wales along one of the most stunning stretches of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, adds to the chapel’s spiritual charge. Said to be the 6th-century birthplace of the patron saint of Wales, St David, it is named after his mother, and remains a place of pilgrimage to this day.

St Non's Chapel and Well
It might not seem very impressive but after fifteen centuries what does. But there's a good reason why it's such an important place to visit: it's where St David, patron saint of Wales, was born around 500 AD. So an excellent well looked after historic site not to be missed. And the Holy Well and shrine, together with the amazing views over the cliffs and sea, complete the experience!

We walked here from St Davids and it was a lovely road down to the Chapel. Fantastic views and the Chapel was nice and cool, as it was very hot the day we visited. It was a relaxing place to think and be quiet. Lots of information about St Nons. I found it to be interesting.

St Non's Chapel and Well
Picturesque, some religious significance, but not much there - physically or in terms of information. Free to visit. The natural beauty outshone any real attraction of the place. Wouldn’t particularly recommend going out of your way to see unless you’re able to incorporate it into a walk to enjoy the coastline generally or if you’re a massive fan of St Non.Cannot confirm healing properties of the spring, though can confirm it’s waters didn’t make anything worse…

Absolutely stunning location with beautiful scenery and costal walks. The weather was about 24° which made the walk even more beautiful. Remember to wear good walking shoes as there is different terrain through the costal paths.

St Non's Chapel and Well
It is a great little historical place, not many car parking places and free, views and cliff walk are a bonus just for the birds, there's also another little chapel close to it called The chapel of our lady and st non definitely worth a visit.

St Non's Chapel and Well
St. Non's Chapel is a ruin... Within the ruins is a distinct Pillar Stone with Celtic Cross (Circa 7th Century) engraved into it. If you follow the coastal path to Carfai Bay there is another stone with a Celtic Cross and additional 4 Sun Rays.St. Non's also has a holy well and shrine to the Virgin Mary. On the hill is the Chapel of Our Lady & St. Non which is adjacent a Catholic Retreat. It's tranquil and picturesque... Where spirituality meets the sea.St. Non's Day is March 2nd, a day after St. David's Day.

Lovely historical location, with beautiful views. The ruins are well looked after, with fence around it. The walk past it to the cliffs is well marked and fairly dry. Definitely a nice walk.

St Non's Chapel and Well
The original Chapel is a pile of stones and a notice board now. The well is quite quaint. The recent Chapel in the grounds of the retreat centre but can be accessed easily. Nice small Chapel Ideal for a moment of thought.

10 min walk from St David’s or a v short drive down a single track road with a lay-by for parking. Not much of the church is left but the views are fantastic. The well has some nice planting near it.
