Telford Central Post Office

This post office has queues because there are a large number of pensioners in the area that use it as a bank to withdraw funds instead of having proper bank accounts. Customers rarely explain what they fully need such as confirmation of delivery and this lengthens the process. The older Asian lady has always displayed professional curtesy when I was there, unfortunately the customers here are a little thick.

Without doubt the WORST post office I have ever been to. From useless staff to ridiculous wait time. This is a major problem, I know that we live in difficult times but surely WH Smiths and for that matter Royal Mail can afford to hire new members of staff. We shouldn't have to wait up to 30 minutes a time to dispatch our post.

Not the employees who work there fault however very slow service and queues. Had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. They are friendly in the Post office but very poor service in terms of speed and number of employees serving. No wonder people are using alternative ways to send parcels

Have tried to post items letter post here twice, took one here thursday, girl pulled it through template and then said it was too big ? ? so wanted to charge me parcel (400g) same happened last time but they are so rude ! ! ! !Both times taken to another post office and posted as letter post no problem

After joing que at 4.05pm , when I finally got to be served at 4.37pm i was informed the service I require isn't available after 4.30pm due to staff shortages and closing at 5.30pm. Nowhere does this state this in branch. Awful customer service.

Super annoyed. I wonder if I got took advantage of? She was super rude! I went Friday to post something important & I asked the Asian lady that served me what are the options to get my documents to their destination quicker than usual. She told me it would cost £6 for it to be there Monday OR I could get next day Delivery for £10. All I wanted is my post to be there on time without waiting 4/5 working days.She didnt give me any other options so I thought that was it.Yesterday Tuesday I was in a queue for 15 mins only 4-6 people in front. There was only 2 tills open again the Asian lady was there & I really didn't want to go to her as someone i knew warned me I could have got my post there cheaper than £6.Luckily I went to someone else, I more less said same thing to this other day, that I wanted my documents there early but not next day delivery & the lady said no problem the post could be signed for & it would take 1-2 working days & it ONLY cost me £2 something. Now that's a big difference between £6. Only difference is the first post would have only got there on Tuesday instead of Monday. Waiting just as long except I'm paying the £6 because it of the weekend & I didnt want next day delivery which would be Saturday.The second parcel was more heavier. The lady asked what was in there but the lady on the Friday didnt bothered asking.Not only that but on Friday I thought she was quite rude I paid for what I needed, i was a bit slow because I am really disabled. As soon as I paid for my delivery & she gave me a receipt she turned her back on me to the person next to her & started talking to her & her customer. I said thank you & bye so obviously was in too much of a deep conversation to hear.I was always taught in retail never talk to your colleague & their customer IF YOU still have a customer in front of you. I know I was just putting some things away but I was going to ask for something else but because she just turned her back on me & started speaking to her colleague & customer I thought sod that, and just said thank you & bye which she clearly ignored me.If her colleague was stuck with something still wait until your customer has gone not turn your back to them. But her colleague didnt need help the woman who served me was just being nosey.

My least favourite post office. Always long queues, staff give out junk like McDonalds vouchers with your receipt. The staff are usually polite although I’ve been spoken to rudely before. I prefer my local friendly post office and would only come here as a last resort.

Please note that during the Covid-19 outbreak this post office is closed on Sunday. Despite the Google opening hours stating otherwise.2 stars for all the other times I have used the post office. Sometimes receive good service, most of the time greeted by miserable staff. Unfortunately it's my local post office since my local one shut.

Shame, a total waste of space. Never had a problem with the old post office in the town centre but these new members of the staff at WHSmiths branch are useless. I would either changed the management, or closed the branch down as they damage the image of the post office brand.

Hate having to use this post office it’s dreadful. Long queues & the older Asian lady is so RUDE it’s beyond belief. The way she talks to customers is shocking. It’s as much as she can do to serve you, even with long queues she’s messing around behind the counter not serving customers just holding up the queue. However, the two younger women who work in there are lovely! Very sweet & polite. I do whatever I can to avoid going in there though just in case the dragon is serving. Can’t be doing with her attitude it stinks.
