From the moment Claire met my 90 year old father who has rheumatoid arthritis she became an instant part of his journey towards becoming stronger and steadier following a fall he was recovering from. She asked him the kind of direct questions that let him know she was determined to help him achieve his goals. Her no nonsense approach based on a genuine caring personality and professional demeanour means that Tom looks forward to her weekly visits and makes sure he does his exercises as prescribed. One goal was to be able to walk as far as his local shop - something he had not been able to achieve since before lockdown. This has been accomplished and not only has Claire helped Tom become stronger and more stable but she has through her dynamic and positive approach to life, improved his general wellbeing.
